Alexina POV
"No. Absolutely not."
"Why not?"
"Because I said no. Are you insane!?"
"Am I meant to answer that question? Come on Abby, I really need this,"
I pleaded with Abigail as we headed to the far corner of the field so that nobody can hear our converstaion.
Not seeing a reason as to why she shouldn't help me, I have been begging Abigail for help. But she continues to refuse.
Does she know what this could all potentially lead to if I find out who Maggie is?
It could solve all the problems that are going on.
Why is she being so stubborn. I've never turned away from her when she has needed help, so why can't she return the favour?
"Abigail, please?" I smiled yet she didn't return it.
Stepping away she shook her head, and I gritted my teeth.
So she can wake me up knowing my lack of sleep?
She can always ask for help knowing I'll help her?
But she can't return the favour?
I know where I stand.
"The next time you need help with something, do not come to me." I warned her as I pointed my finger at her angrily and she frowned.
"You have no idea what you're walking into Alexina!"
"I could say the same thing about you and this whole crystal situation Abigail! Don't try turn away from what's really going on." I snapped as I turned away from her. "Face the fact that you're scared and unless it benefits you, you want no part of it!"
"How can you say-"
"BECAUSE ITS TRUE!" I yelled at her.
The only time she has helped me is when she wanted to find that damn crystal. She didn't come to help me, she came to find the crystal, it just so happened that I turned out to be there.
Her and Malin both.
I knew I shouldn't have put my trust and faith in them. People always let you down.
That's one thing I've learned. Unless its your own, they don't have your back.
All I've got to do now is wait for Grayson and TJ to do the same thing.
-----
"The aim of this lesson is to showcase a high and good level of power." Professor Golding strolled around the classroom. "Connor and Lexi, you two stay put. After last time, you two will be assessed in the large hall."
Laughs and comments made their way around the room and I shook my head with a small grin forming on my lips.
Tapping my pen on the table, waiting for the class to begin to embarrass themselves, I yawned catching the attention of a few others.
