Grayson POV

"I've already told you Miss, we can't accept your order,"

"And why not?"

"You're not a leading member, you're the heir,"

"But I'm still a member of the leading family."

"Makes no difference to me kid. Bring an adult and maybe we'll see." The officer smiled sadly at Alexina who scowled back.

I bet this has bruised her huge ego.

"What if I compelled him?" I whispered and she shook her head.

"You can't compel a Lord. Its against the law." She sighed angrily before sitting down, her hands running through her hair as she watched the man behind the window scoff a donut.

"What's a Lord?" I asked and she laughed at me before the realisation hit her that I actually don't know.

When you're a vampire, you live a pretty sheltered life. Much like elementals, we're private in everything we do.

We also tend to focus on ourselves. We tend not to care about other supernaturals because they don't hold the responsibilities that we do.

"A Lord is a servant to the most powerful being. Meaning he is and was the servant to George Alistair. You can't compel a servant because its seen as manipulation within power sectors." She sighed leaning back against the chair, her head resting on the wall.

I still can't believe Alexina is here. You can best believe that if TJ ever did some shit like that to me he could piss off and fall off a cliff.

Those girls completely pushed aside Lexi's feelings in order to feel better about themselves. You can tell, nothing about them regretted their actions at all.

After everything she did for them, they threw it back in her face.

There has to be something we can do in order to get these two out of here.

I could always compel the Lord? Who will know besides me?

Its not like its a huge crime right?

I mean... its only twisting and forcing them to do what I say, its no big deal.

"I'm going to compel him." I sighed as I stood up, Alexina's hand grabbing my arm sitting me back down.

"No. You could end up in prison here."

"So?"

"Grayson!"

"What? I'm doing you a favour," I defended and she shook her head.

"You'll create another problem. Sit down." She ordered and I rolled my eyes at her.

"Or what?" I smirked and she looked like she had an idea before the sparkle left her eyes and she slumped down even more. "That's what I thought," I grinned before spinning on my heel and heading off towards the window.

"You're an idiot."

Strutting over to the door, I propped myself up on my elbow. My chin resting on my hand as I smiled towards the Lord who has his face in a box of donuts.
