Alexina POV

It's becoming gloomy.

It's coming.

I forgot what it was like to see daylight.

But I remember it never being like this.

No clouds, no blue skies, no sunshine.

Just darkness.

"You feel it don't you?" Someone called out and I froze as I saw Lucian.

His brown curls hanging loosely as he emerged from the trees.

"You do too?" I questioned and he nodded his head.

"My grandmother offered for me to join the Wizarding Force last week." He tucked his hands into his pockets before looking up at me. "I said yes."

I can't say I'm surprised that he said yes. Infact, im happy that he did.

These past three weeks have been probably the most difficult of my life.

I've been training every day, I've not been able to see anybody. I've called but its not the same.

"I'll reverse the spell for you Alexina." Lucian hung his head low but I can feel his worry.

Stopping as the rain finally calmed down, I shoved my hands into my pockets and looked up towards Lucian.

"Listen, if you don't want to-"

"Trust me Valentine, I'm not having any elemental blood on my hands." He assured me before flashing me a small smile. "Plus, if I let you die, Grayson would kill me."

The mention of Grayson's name made me smile but it also made me feel down.

I haven't spoken to him for three weeks, he crosses my mind constantly.

Wishing things could go back to the way they were is important for me, but he refused to wait.

"Oh my- you love him."

"Don't be stupid Lucian." I laughed as I turned to face him, humour flashed through his eyes as I glared at him.

"It's nothing to be ashamed of Valentine, it's written all over your tomato coloured face." Lucian smirked. "You don't always have to hide your feelings."

Why is he saying this? It makes no sense!

Sure, I have strong feelings for Grayson but that doesn't mean I love him.

Or his eyes.

Or his dashing smile.

Or how he is so gentle.

And the fact he would drop anything to help me.

"Hello? Anybody in there?" Lucian clicked his fingers in my face causing me to scowl.

Pushing his hand away, he rolled his eyes while I pursed my lips and began to stare down at the floor.

"You should tell him your feelings before its too late Valentine. If you don't, Wendy Taylor is going to swoop right in-"
