"My grandma said, nothing real can be threatened. True love brought salvation back into me. With every tear came redemption. And my torturer became my remedy."
This past few weeks have been filled with the most drama I've ever experienced in my life. But I'm more than happy that it's all over with. Everything is back to normal. Me and Dwayne are back on the same page, back to being us again. He apologized to Korey and they've been getting along for the sake of me. I thank them both for that.
And speaking of Korey, we finally finished the art assignment. Bringing it to school was hard as hell to do by myself because it was so heavy. I had a hard time trying to fit it in my car at a good angle while trying not to mess it up. But I got it in there and to school in one piece. I was very satisfied with the end result.

As we were sharing and presenting our projects, I looked and noticed that ours was the biggest. I don't wanna sound cocky but ours was also the best. And that's mostly due to the fact that we chose a more complex picture compared to everyone else. But then again, maybe everyone didn't want to take on such an difficult challenge because it was far from easy.
All in all, everyone did a good job. Mrs. Davis gave me and Korey a B+ on our project. We clearly deserved higher than that but I had no energy to challenge her on it.
I'm just glad that it's over. And I still stand by what I said about not wanting to see a single skittle ever again.
In better news, prom is tonight and I was so excited. This is the one night of my senior year (besides graduation) that I look forward to. Although it would've been cute for me and Dwayne to take each other, I promised to Jazmine that I'd be her date since her and Dondre are in one of their stages of not talking. Dwayne was cool with that even though I could tell he really wanted to be my date. He asked me if it was okay if he took his cousin from his hometown as his date and I agreed.
The best thing about the day of prom is that it's a half day for the all the seniors. They let us leave at 12:30 so that we can go home and start getting ready.
When 12:30 came, they started making announcements one by one to come to the front office. That meant that our parents signed us out and we were able to leave. Jazmine's mother came and signed out Jaz, Korey and myself since my parents were stuck at work for another 2 hours. Once we got outside, I told them that I'd see them later tonight then walked over to my car and drove home.
I didn't really have any last minute preparations to do being that I got everything that I needed yesterday in terms of my haircut and things like that. So because I didn't need to get dressed for about 5 more hours, you already what I'm bout to do...take my ass to sleep. I set my alarms for 4 and 5 o'clock. Jazmine told me that she should be finished getting ready by 6, so I wanted to be there a little bit before that.
*4 hours later*
I woke up after my first alarm at 4 went off. I wasted no time getting out of bed and into the shower. Once I was done showering, I started getting dressed.
