AN: Picture of Juniper on the side for you 😉
It's been a week now since school has started. My sudden fame has died down some and people aren't as curious to turn and stare at me in the halls. I do, however, seem to have a fan girl club. Almost every class I walk into these days has a love note or some kind of treat on my desk. Dakota warned me about eating anything left for me and opening the envelopes.
"You never know. There could be love potions or hexes waiting for you so if I were you I'd just put them in your bag and throw them away later." He said after the first occurrence. Apparently he and everyone else had experienced similar ordeals in the past when they first formed Skrull. I complied and stored them in my bag until after school and promptly threw them away when no one was looking. As far as classes go I've adjusted surprisingly well. It's different but school is school after all. The Music Club has kept me pretty busy. Anthony is definitely a demon when it comes to practice and has given us a rigorous schedule to follow.
"I have plans for you." He'd say at the beginning of each session while grinning like a creeper and pushing up on his glasses. I'd say the thing that's been giving me the most trouble is the ongoing feud between Josh, Dakota, and June. They're extremely childish and fight over my attention like little kids. Not to mention my English project is due soon and I've barely even started it. Every time I go to meet June he just either flirts with me or messes around. He's hardly answered a single question and yet somehow in the process I've answered nearly all of his.
"Seriously June! This project is due Monday and it's already Friday!" I yelled and was immediately hushed by the librarian. June snickered at me and I glared at him. He rolled his eyes.
"Fine. Tomorrow I'll answer all of your questions." I gave him a suspicious look.
"Promise?"
"Promise." He chimed flashing me a smile. So here we are. It's my first weekend at Nightshade and I'm stuck in the library doing homework. Just brilliant. June promised to meet me here at ten. I checked my phone and it was already ten thirty. I let out a frustrated breath and drummed my fingers impatiently on the table I was sitting at. I had sent him multiple texts and each time he said he was almost here. After another ten minutes of waiting I stood up and slung my bag over my shoulder. I turned to leave and nearly ran right into June. He smiled and I was ready to cuss him out, when I noticed his hands were full with delicious looking food. He had two drinks in a holder in one hand and an assortment of pastries in the other.
"Sorry it took me so long. I even got to Treats an hour early but of course the line would be hella long." He set the food and beverages down and slid into the open seat across from me. I cautiously sat back down.
"What is all this?" I asked. June grinned.
"This," He said gesturing to the sweets, "Is Nightshade Academy's finest goods from its most popular restaurant, Treats Café."
"Treats Café?" I repeated as glanced over the mouthwatering doughnuts, strudels, bear claws, and other delectable sweets.
"Yep, on campus there are actually some pretty awesome restaurants you can check out. Treats is a student run café from the culinary classes, but they're super popular. They have good stuff." He reached over and grabbed a doughnut. He bit into it and pulled back as the jelly filling began to run down the side of his hand. I could smell strawberries as he licked it up, very seductively might I add. I noticed again his fangs as his tongue prodded the ends of them.
"So this is my excuse for being late." He said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I glanced down at the doughnut closest to me and picked it up. I hesitantly took a bite and my eyes widened.
