A black cylindrical pen holder sits next to a stack of papers on one side of an office desk. A rectangular see-through name plate that reads Dr. John L. Vernon, M.D. in the front row; and a man around his early fourties sitting behind the desk to put a face on the pertinent name. Sharp chiseled jaw clear of stubble, clean cut brown hair atop his head and a serious look on his face to match the intimidating white lab coat he is wearing.
He sits up straight, raising his brows at the petite girl standing in front of him. Frizzy blonde hair pulled in a loose ponytail, pink lips pressed together in a tight line and eyes narrowed down in a pleading look.
"Miss Riley, you are not to touch Mr. Styles' files. This is a police case. If you want, I can give you Dawson's. His case may not be as interesting as Mr. Styles, but at least you'd get to tackle their similarities in your dissertation." The doctor says to his student intern with a contempt look on his face.
Her blue eyes gravitate to the pile of paper she has placed in front of the doctor. Written on the cover page are just the basic information amongst the detailed ones scribbled on the next many pages. Nina could only imagine the many times the subject -- Harry Styles -- had to visit the hospital and has been visited in the comfort of his own home to keep his recovery and development in check and recorded. The three years are shown on the thickness of the staple-bound papers.
The very moment her eyes went over his striking features that is shown on the picture that goes with the cover page, she's gotten intrigued. She pulled the file from the steel cabinet with reluctant fingers and read over them.
Name: Harry Edward Styles
Age: 25
Birthdate: February 01, 1994
Condition: Anterograde AmnesiaIt wasn't actually his case that compelled her into deciding that she wants to make him a subject on her case study. It was the look on his face. There's an anger laced behind his irises as he looked at the camera. But it wasn't the kind of anger that's driven by hatred, instead, it's triggered with heartbreak... great loss. Nina saw the desperateness behind his green eyes...it was as if he was screaming for her help. She couldn't explain the feeling, but as soon as she touched the papers, she knew she wanted to figure him out. And so she ends up inside Dr. Vernon's office, begging for a copy of Harry Styles' medical records so that she could study them at her dorm.
"But Dawson's case is also a police case, right? I don't understand why I can't get a hold of this one." Nina argues, chewing on her lips as she crosses her arms in front of herself, as if to challenge her superior.
"Nina," the doctor calls her in her first name now. Breathing deeply, he looks away momentarily before looking back at her again. "Harry Styles is an important person. He had an imperative role in the aviation industry before this horrible nightmare happened to him. The association will specifically ask for my head if they learned I allowed my intern to use him as her case study subject. I'm sorry, Nina, but I love my job and I have a family to feed." The stress is already shown on the doctor's face. Nina would've argued but she knows she couldn't convince him anymore.
With a heavy heart and blue eyes still trained on the medical record placed on the doctor's desk, she turns on her heels to leave the office. With a determined face, she decides that she will not stop there. If she can't peruse through the hospital records of this certain Harry Styles, then she will find everything out by her own means.

Harry's things are organised in different canisters labeled accordingly with the names of what they contain. It comes in handy all of the time, especially when you have a rare case of forgetfulness every fifteen minutes.
