N/A: ~ EDITED ~ I just added a small detail towards the end of the chapter. Hehe :')

He stands confidently, dressed in a grey sleek suit and a pair of neatly shined black shoes. His brunette locks are waxed into perfection, light stubble rimming his firm jawline. His brows are raised lightly on his forehead, lips stretched into a sly smirk. Hands in his pockets, he watches on as the girl in front of him studies every inch of him.

She sits by the sofa, feet away from the man. She pulled her legs up and placed her chin on top of her bony kneecap, picking her fingers by her teeth. Her eyes are squinted in his way, scrutinizing him...making sure she hasn't forgotten a single detail.

He has this buoyancy, coolness and angst around him that could make him a little bit intimidating, but the way he carried himself screams overconfidence. She doesn’t like it, but he was the only one that stood out among her list of possible men who could pretend as his boyfriend.

“Can you please give me another turn?” Charlie twirls her pointer finger around, instructing the brooding male in the room to do the same.

An exasperated sigh leaves his lips as he flails his hands in front of him. He was clearly done with it, but when Charlie narrows her eyes at him, he grudgingly turns around in place just to satisfy her.

“Charlie, we’ve been doing this for three hours now. Give me a break.” He murmurs.

Charlie stands up from her seat and places her hands on her hip. “Daniel, I have to make sure we wouldn’t mess this up. This is huge. Everyone will be there and-“

“Since when have I let you down?” He has a cocky smirk playing on his lips that Charlie wants to smack right through just so she couldn’t see it again.

Daniel was Charlie’s husband in a Huggies commercial earlier this year. His small camera exposure helped her deem him as a pretend Harry Styles for just one night. He isn’t really that memorable after all, so she assumes people will immediately forget about him when the party is over.

Daniel, however, thinks otherwise. He sees this as an advance in his modeling career. He had always wanted to land an acting career – he participated in several auditions for certain roles, but he never really got lucky.

“Alright, let’s do it again. How will you introduce yourself?”

Daniel’s cocky smile grows wider. He straightens his stance after pulling his hands out of his pockets. He lifts his chin up a little, eyes set on an imaginary person in front of him although Charlie is already standing right there.

“Good evening. I’m Harry Styles. So pleased to meet you.” With still a cocky smirk plastered on his lips, he stretches his hand forward and shakes hand with the air. Even his voice sounds too proud, overdone even…but Charlie is going to settle with that just so she can present someone as his boyfriend to this party that’s going to happen after two weeks. Honestly, if she is to find someone more convincing than him, she wouldn’t have put up with his conceitedness.

Charlie is about to open her mouth to say something when she is interrupted with the few knocks on the door. She hurriedly slips her feet in her slippers that had somehow been kicked under her couch in the middle of having a little frenzy earlier. There’s another series of knocks on the door just as she stops behind it and tip-toes to peek on who’s behind it.

She smiled in a very delighted way, a crazy idea reeling inside her zany head.

She comes back to the living room for a bit.
