CHAPTER 19

Rose Love Paul

"Do you love him?" he asked me while gritting his teeth in anger.

Seconds passed into minutes, but I stood in silence not giving an answer to the man standing in front of me. How could I be so careless, that's the only thought that was lingered in my mind right now.

"Explain Rose! What's going on...why do you come out of his room so early in the morning? How long..." with that Jasper started throwing questions one by one. There is nothing to hide now. How could I hide it when he himself saw me kissing Jacob. My tiniest hope was gone when Jasper walked away towards our room. I ran behind him and pulled his shoulder, not allowing him to enter my bedroom.

"Are you telling Kiran?" I tried my luck.

Jasper waited for me to continue, but I walked away leaving him alone in front of my room. If he wanted to tell this to Kiran, let him do so. With that thought in my mind, I walked towards the terrace to get some fresh air. The situation has got worse when Jasper unexpectedly saw me and Jacob kissing in the stairs in the early morning. My hair was wet and Jacob wasn't wearing any shirt which clearly states our relationship in the eyes of Jasper. No words were there to explain after that scene. Jasper silently walked past us without a single question. Morning breakfast was good and the day went in silence. After finishing his interview in a multinational company, straightaway Jasper came to me and questioned my relationship with Jacob. He didn't let me answer any of them. Even if he gives me a chance to explain what I should explain as I am already married to Kiran.

"You know what Rose? You don't deserve someone like Kiran!" I heard Jasper as I was lost in my thoughts while sitting in the railing.

"How about we have a walk?" I asked Jasper, turning my head in his direction.

He nodded his head in agreement analyzing every movement of mine like a hawk. After walking a few yards, we bought a drink and sat in the grass meadow which was spread like a vast ocean. Jasper sat beside me and scrolled the i-pad in his hand.

"Did you sleep with him?" The question was very straight.

"It was a very straight question Jasper and...Yes, I slept with him the moment I laid my eyes on him." I answered truthfully.

Jasper stood and walked towards the nearby swing and pointed me to sit on it. I smiled lightly and took a seat on it praying he wouldn't push me much.

"Am going to push the swing, Rose," he said and pushed the swing at medium speed. The air hit me mildly and I enjoyed the weather. "I have never done this to anyone...not even to Malar."

"Push me harder Jasper," I shouted and the swing went to and fro at high speed.

I didn't know how time passed, but after pushing me in the swing for more than thirty minutes, Jasper took a seat in the nearby swing. "Better?" he asked, having the juice in his hand.

"Feels...good!"

"Where did you learn this Jas..."

"Learn what?"

"Learn how to make a person feel good and..."

"Rose!" He placed the bottle in the ground very mildly, not willing to damage the bottle nor the ground. "Stay away from that idiot man," he stated coldly taking me back from his usual behaviour.

Suddenly I felt a tight grip around my neck. "Try me, Jasper," I said angrily. "I tried...but it didn't work out the way everyone wants."

"Do you know how much Kiran loves you?"

"For god sake Jasper, don't ask me this ridiculous question as we both know how much I love Kiran and...it wasn't what I planned, every...thing...everything happened like...I love Jacob as much as I love Kiran, but..."

"This explains only one thing...Do I..."

"You are right Jasper! Don't ask me more than this!"

"So...if this is what you want, then why didn't you..."

I took a long breath cutting his sentence. "It wasn't planned that way Jasper because I myself didn't know that I would love a man like Jacob until the day I met him. Is it my fault that I fell for him?"

"Of Course it's your fault, Rose! If you don't like Kiran the way you like Jacob...then there is no point in marrying someone like Kiran. Why waste your life as well as Kiran's? Is it Kiran's fault...that you are backstabbing  with an extramarital affair?"

"Jas..."

"Now is not the time to discuss about Kiran. It's about you...Rose! What are you planning to do now?"

"Jasper! Kiran doesn't have to know about this. It will be over within a couple of days and..."

"Are you mad or what? You think hiding something like this is fair to Kiran. I know it sounds crazy...but get a divorce!" suggested Jasper. 

"Divorce?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Yes! Divorce Kiran and...do whatever you want!"

"I don't have any plans to divorce Kiran. What happens here stays here and..."

"And it's not fair to Kiran nor you. Rose...what did Jacob say in this?"

"He let me decide!"

"Very kind man indeed!" Jasper said sarcastically.

"Rose! This is who you are, so...accept it and get a divorce." sighed Jasper trying to prove his point. "Listen to me Rose, I am not telling you to tell Kiran the exact reason, but..."

"But...what choice do I have Jas? You think Kiran will accept my reason and let me go along with Jacob...and even if Kiran lets me out of this relationship, will I be able to leave the love we shared and go with Jacob?"

"Rose...the problem is neither Kiran nor Jacob. It's you and you have to take a stand. I know one of the roses is going to get hurt emotionally but...Kiran and Rose won't work after this. Don't you get it?"

Saying something is very easy, but after taking a decision it will be difficult to handle the decision. Even Jasper couldn't understand the love I had for Kiran. Jasper wants me to be happy with Jacob, so he is not angry at me for cheating Kiran. I don't know why no one cares about Kiran, Jacob and Jasper wanted me to be happy...and they didn't even once give a thought about what would happen to Kiran. This is the reason I don't trust anyone when it comes to Kiran.

"Enough with this drama Jasper, how did the interview go?" I diverted the topic but he wasn't ready to let it go.

"Do we really...have to talk about mine when your life's on the edge of the bridge," he said playfully smirking at me.

"Thank you!"

"What was that for?" Jasper raised his brow.

"Not spilling my secret to..."

"To Kiran?"

"Yes!"

"Honestly...I wanted to scold you and that man, but...Rose love has no bounds and I have witnessed it in your situation, though it's a complete disaster, all you think is about Kiran. Trust me, this is the reason why Kiran is not letting you go."

I laughed at his statement because at the present moment I can only do that. When times are hard enough to handle just smile looking at the problems, who knows maybe tomorrow I would hold a happy smile with a good emotion in my heart. So I laughed like a  mad ghost which brought confused wrinkles on the face of Jasper.

"I wish I could laugh with you...but Rose I did a terrible interview."
