"I kept texting you, and I didn't receive a single reply." Kayla said.

"Sorry." I muttered.

"You made so worried. Where did you go?" She asked.

"Someplace far."

It's like I could even say a word. Why did Skyler brought me there? Was he being sorry or just being sweet?

A smile formed in my lips. For the first time, he was being nice. I kept imagining his smile, a drop dead gorgeous smile that could melt my heart.

Stop it Carter! Focus on the real stuff like school.

"Your smile is creeping me out, geez. What did you do?" Kayla snapped.

"I ditched clas and hang out with Skyler."

Her eyes widened and she squealed but I covered her mouth immediately and pulled her to the side.

"Y-you two dated?"

"NO!" I cringed.

"Then what?" She let out a little laugh and I can't help but to smile too.

"He brought me to a park and it was amaze-balls!"

"You still don't know this whole thing do you? A hot guy brought you to some place beautiful, it means the two of you dated! It's the first step to a whole new relationship!"

"Shut up" I slightly punched her left arm. "It was not a date and it dosen't seem like it. Besides, maybe he did that because he was sorry."

"It's probably the same thing." She rolled her eyes.

"We barely even know each other and I don't like him!" I said.

"Well, try to know each other, Maybe you'll like him."

"If I do that, It'll be the start of another world-war 3."

Weekends were boring. There's nothing to do inside the house. But I gotta say, our house is elegant. It's a modern zen, our cousin Jerry was the  architect. Mom and dad were always fond of beautiful houses beacuse they were once a real estate agents. They worked with Kayla's parents and that's how our family became close. We're rich but it's something that I don't like to brag about and it dosen't prove anything if you brag it. Most rich people would do, they like being recognized and praised like they won a Golden Globe award. We just stay simple and happy, that's all. I've got everyone to make me happy.

I went downstairs to see what Connor was doing 'cause I've been thinking that we'd watch a movie and eat chips o something. I caught him sitting in front of the big plasma tv. Eyes focused on the wide screen. He was too busy playing with his Xbox.

Poor kid, He just sits around and play all day. Kids usually get addicted to this stuff. I was once too, but then I prioritized reading cause it helps me get rid of my boredom.

"Connor, wanna watch a movie?" I asked him.

"Can't Carts, I'm busy. Just go make yourself prettier."

"Whatever. I'll be upstairs if you need me."

"Lates." He replied.

I stared at my bookshelf for  a while. I like reading mystery and fiction books and I prefer it rather than reading Romance. I like to read intense and dangerous ones, because it's full of excitement, thrill and adventure . Unlike those Romance thingy, you'll just end up crying and unsatistified after you read it.

None of them were useful to get rid boredom because I've read all of them twice, and thrice. You'll just get sick reading the same old thing.

So, I wore a simple white sweater, my favorite boyfriend jeans and a pair of flats and headed to the bookstore nearby and bought new ones. Afterwards, I headed to my favorite coffee shop where I like to hang out most of the time.
