"You like him."

Yo about choked on his pink milk. After clearing his airways and being able to breathe properly again, Yo gave Ming the blackest glare ever. "Asshole! Warn a person! And like who?"

Ming claimed the seat across from Yo, Kit wordlessly sitting next to Ming. "You-know-who, Yo."

"No, I don't." Are we really doing the Voldemort bit?? Yo took a big gulp of his pink milk, drawing strength and peace from its sweetness.

"You like P'Pha."

Yo was now scowling lightly at Kit. "I. Do. Not. We're just friends."

"That's not how P'Beam told it," Ming arched an inquiring brow at his best friend. Yo had never hidden things from him before, and Ming was starting to wonder why he was doing it now.

Yo hissed something inaudible, going back to drinking his pink milk. When the cup was finished, he shot Ming an annoyed frown. "You are way too nosy for your own good. P'Beam and I go to P'Pha's for meals sometimes. He's a good friend, and..." Yo swallowed hard, remembering how crushed and lost he'd felt after Lily rejected a serious relationship with him. "A-after...P'Lily...they're helping me."

Ming had a guilty look on his face. "Fuck, Yo, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to leave you alone to deal with all that."

"It's fine. I didn't tell you until two days after the fact. We're okay," Yo smiled reassuringly.

Kit stiffened in his seat, his gaze following something behind Yo. "Yo, don't turn around until I tell you."

Even Ming was watching. More like glaring more viciously than Yo had been. "That bitch-"

"Ming."

"KitKat, she-"

"I know, Ming. But still. Don't fall to that level."

Ming grumbled and crossed his arms before resting them on the tabletop. "I seriously need an iced coffee right now. And a danish. Something gooey and super sweet."

"You're going to give yourself diabetes," Kit wrinkled his nose in distaste.

Ming shrugged. "You know I eat stuff like that when I'm mad."

Yo knew Kit had told him not to turn around. But curiosity got the better of him and he was twisting in his seat to see what they were so mad about, not heeding Kit's quiet 'Don't, Yo'. And stared.

Lily had just entered the coffee shop with a boy. Yo knew him. He was a senior that had graduated last year. And from the way they were holding hands, they were a lot closer than just senior and junior or friends. It was like a suckerpunch. Yo hadn't seen this coming.

He whipped back around when Lily's gaze moved in his direction. He fiddled with his empty cup, wishing he still had some pink milk left.

"I'll get you some more," Kit said quietly, pulling his wallet out and walking up to the line in front of the counter.

Ming's glare intensified. "She's coming over, Yo. You want me to get rid of her?"

"Um..."

"Hello, Yo."

Yo tensed. "H-hi, P'Lily."

"Can I talk to you?"

He didn't know where the burst of confidence came from. Yo looked at her, pointedly back at the senior, then at her again. "I don't think that's necessary. And no offense, but I really don't want to talk to you right now, P'Lily."
