Linh POV

I was getting ready for school when Biana hailed me on my Imparter. "Meet me at Everglen." she said immediately. Biana then promptly hung up the Imparter. I figured I had no choice but to meet her at Everglen and see what was going on. I changed out of my uniform and ran up to the Leapmaster before Tam could stop me.

"Everglen!" I yelled. The crystal floated down and made a shiny, bright beam of light. I was still getting used to how bright and pretty everything was in the elvin world. I had gone to school at Exillium, and lived under a tarp with my brother Tam from when I was 11 to age 14. That first day I manifested, I lost control. Who knew that would get me exiled? While, at least I'm here now.

"Hi!" Biana was so giddily excited, that I knew she was planning something. "So you want to ditch Foxfire today?"

Oh no. I thought I knew what she was planning. "Why?" I said, double checking and crossing my fingers, hoping I wasn't right.

"We're gonna go check on Sophie! Duh," she answered. "I swiped a leaping crystal from my father. I know we'll be able to get away with it. I brought Dex along to flub our crystals. It was easy, because I know he likes me. I don't mean to lead him on, because you know... Tam." She started crying. After a while, she composed herself.

"Well, let's go get Dex!" She raised one of the stolen crystals and we light leaped to Rimeshire. Dex was waiting right in front when we got there. Biana once again raised a stolen crystal, this one was neon orange with blue flecks. I wondered where this 'Hogwarts' was. "Welcome to Hogwarts," she said, waving her hand around like a tour guide. "There's the big ominous castle," she said, pointing to it. "That's the creepy forest," she continued. "And that's the big lake." she said.

"Nice tour." Dex deadpanned, sarcasm dripping from his words. Then, he smacked himself in the face. I knew he realized something important. "Oh shoot, we should have brought a Telepath. How will we let Sophie know we're here?"

"Remember? I'm a Vanisher, you dummy." I said, like it was obvious (because it was). "I'm gonna sneak into their 'high security, amazing' castle." I said with air quotes, because it was obviously anything but high security. They had big doors, without even a deadbolt.

"Shoot," Dex said, and smacked himself in the face again. "How could I have forgotten that?" he mumbled.

"You wanna make a bet?" I asked Biana. "How many times do you think Dex will hit his face today?"

"I bet..." Biana said, pausing to think.

"17!" she finally finished.

"I say--" I started, but Dex cut me off.

"Shut up you guys!"

"I say 23," I said breathlessly, getting it out before he could cut me off.

"Stay here." Biana said.

"Stay safe! Don't let wizards kidnap you. I bet they're worse than Wonderboy." Dex said to Biana.

"Ummm, you know I'm 'Wonderboy''s sister. If he's so amazing, I'm sure I can do this easily." she replied, "At least I don't need a stuffed animal named Mr. Snuggles to help me sleep." she muttered.

Dex and I were shocked. She may have not meant us to hear, but we had heard. "Fitzy needs a stuffed animal to sleep?" I started.

"Named Mr. Snuggles??" Dex finished, startled and amazed. "I can't wait to tease Wonderboy!"

"DO NOT tease him!" she roared. Ooook, who knew Biana was so protective of Fitzy? She's almost as bad as Tam. It made them even more perfect for each other.

A dark silhouette suddenly appeared in the window. Oh no. I hoped they wouldn't see us. Biana had vanished. She grabbed my hand. I grabbed Dex's hand. Biana appeared, and then vanished again. This time I couldn't see my hand or Dex.

It was too late.

"Welcome to Hogwarts."
