"See you next week, George," I wave to the sad little blonde boy. His father left last year and he's become antisocial with his classmates. He's very quiet and doesn't have much friends. His mother thought him having sessions with me would encourage him to talk more or least his issues. She can't seem to get him talking much at home. It's been two months since he's started therapy session with me and he's opened up quite a bit. He's still upset about his dad, and thinks he's the reason why he left, so I have reassure George isn't his fault in all our talks.

As the little hand waves bye in the back seat of the car and drives off, I notice a familiar car in the parking lot. Is that Melanie?

"Mel?" The lady heads ducks under the steering wheel as I approach the car. I peak through the window and it's indeed her. I chuckle at her attempt to pretend she's looking for something and tap on the window. She rolls down her window and flashes a heavenly smile.

"Hello, Harold how may I help you?" She clears her throat and tries a posh accent, a terrible one at that.

"What are you doing here?" I lean over and perching my arm on the roof of the car.

"Well I needed to clear my head. So, I took a drive and ended up here of all places. Weird right?" She quickly talks giving a nervous laugh afterwards. I know somethings on her mind but she's to afraid to tell me.

"Look if you want someone to talk , we can go inside," I suggest.

"I'm assuming for free mr. therapist."

"This one, but I charge you for the next one," I joke. She nods and gets out of the car and locking it. We go inside and straight to go in my office. George was my last session of the day ,so I let my secretary, April, leave for the day.

She takes a seat on the sofa and I join her and let her speak while I listen.

"So, I saw my dad for the first in 18 years." I widened my eyes in shock. I know how much she wanted to talked to him in person, and find out the truth about her parents divorce.

"Did you have the talk you always wanted?"

"Yes, I found out everything I wanted and more. H, I have a little sister," she gushes.

"Wow, really?"

"Yes, her names Kira and she's seven. I'll be meeting her soon as my dad moves here."

"He's staying too?"

"Yep. He wants to get to know me and have a fresh start with all of us. But I'll tell you more about that later, I really wanted to talk about my mother." She says the last word with disgust.

"What happen, I sense hostility in your voice?"

"She's was lying to me for 18 years. She told me various stories like he cheated or didn't really want to be a father or couldn't handle being a father. All this bullshit when he didn't cheat wanted to be in my life. He thought about asking for full custody in the divorce, he wasn't though. But, my mother got scared he would eventually and moved us here!" Melanie shouts gripping the pillow in her lap aggressively.

"Okay, I get why you're upset, but did you talk to her?"

"No, she'd just tell me more lies," she spat. I sigh and take her hand her eyes look into mine and she relaxes a bit.

"Mel you have to talk to her. Confront her about it and get to know why she did it. You might be more understanding when you hear both sides." She huffs and nods and I let go of her hand.

"When you get so good at helping people?" She cracks a smile.

"I don't know honestly, I just listen and try not to be bias plus I'm helping kids which in my opinion easier to talk to. They're more easy to read than adults."

"I mean I'd suck at it, but I guess that's why you're the expert." We catch up a little before I walk her out.

"Thanks for the talk H." She pulls me into an embrace and I sigh as I inhale her lavender scented perfume.

"No, problem." I bid her goodbye and she drives off. Less than a minute later, Jasmine comes out her car with a sour look on her face. Oh shit I forget I was supposed to meet her at the restaurant tonight.

"This is why you didn't answer your phone Harry. You were hanging out with Melanie?"

"I'm sorry it completely slipped my mind and she needed my help," I try to explain.

"Harry, I know you wouldn't cheat but I sense Melanie might have feelings for you and I think you should stop hanging out so much."

"But she's my friend Jaz!" She's being ridiculous.

"I know. I'm not saying never hang out, but I think you should keep your distance. I don't think she has any good intentions is all." I wanted to yell and say that's she's wrong, but now thinking about it, probably is best to keep my distance from Melanie. We've almost kissed twice and I it's not healthy for Jasmine and I relationship if I'm always with Mel.

"Okay, I will."

Jasmine and I end up going to my apartment instead to the restaurant and eat Indian food while watching a reality show that Jasmine has been obsessing over since the start.

She rest her head on my lap as I play with the ends of her hair. When a commercial comes on she sits up and turns to me.

"Harry?"

"What is it babe?"

"What do you think about moving the wedding up?"

"How soon are we talking?"

"I was thinking December." That's five month before the actual wedding we originally planned for and it's five months away. Maybe it'll be good getting married sooner I'll have even more reason to stay away from Mel because Jasmine means everything to me and I hate to lose her because of some old feelings.

"Yeah, I think that be perfect," I say.

"Great, I'll call the venue tomorrow, they had two openings for December."

"The sooner I'm married to you the better," I kiss her forehead.
