***I was sitting in the Gryffindor common room, trying to dry my newly cleaned robes, when an old lady approached me, her eyes sharp and they pierced my back as I turned around..
"Jaida? I'm Professor McGonagall, head of Gryffindor house. As Dumbledore explained, each night you will spend in a different house, and as much as we've loved having you here, it is time for you to move to your next house."
I sighed, knowing I'll have to relive the period of time where I have no friends, and thought of the simple thing I needed to pack before I left for another random house. One down, three to go. "Ok, sure. Let me pack some books, and such. I'll pack all my robes for the future houses to get it done with. " I tapped my chin, and gasped, "My book of spells, and oh, my wand!"
McGonagall nods promptly, seemingly tired herself as she almost dozed off listening to me. "Will you need some time to say goodbye to your friends?"
"Yes, thank you." I say gratefully, and rush over to Hermione, who was as usual, hunched over a book, pointing a finger to the correct words as she read in hushed whispers.. "I'm leaving Gryffindor for the night." I tell her, straightening her back a bit in worry. She didn't notice and her face dropped, her bottom lips pouting a bit."You'll be back, right?" She questioned hopefully, now her posture was entirely straight.
"I'm not exactly sure what's going to happen," She furrowed her brows, I added onto it to make her a bit happier, "but we'll definitely still see each other around. Promise me that you'll love me no less if I'm a Ravenclaw?"
She let out a small giggle, and pulled me into a tight, almost motherly hug. "Promise."
I then find Harry, Ron, Seamus and Dean chatting on the beds, some sitting on the floor in their dorm . We laugh for a bit, telling inside jokes, then say our sad goodbyes, though we'll see each other again soon. I turn to head out when I'm blocked by a person, or people.
"Excuse me." I say, then step to the side, only to be blocked again, all I see is Gryffindor clothes. I look up, sighing in defeat.
"Georgie, she thought she could leave without saying bye to us." Fred nudged the boy next to him, wiggling his brows in a high-pitched chuckle.
"The audacity, Fred!" George mocked a betrayed look, I fixed me gaze on them both, and grinned at the twins in a humorous way."Thank you for making my first days traumatising you two, really enjoyed it." My lips tucking in on themselves, as I nodded like I was agreeing with something.
They wink at each other, then face me. "Always happy to be of service, Goblin Girl." Fred smirked, as Georgie copied his facial expression.
"I'm gonna leave now. See you two around." I walked through the two of them. A voice of the two stopped me in my tracks as I threw my head back in protest.
"Aw, are we not getting a hug? I'm hurt now." The red-head Fred simply said, a head on his head like a damsel in distress."How rude!" George put his hand on his chest like he was dying, and started to fall back. I rolled my eyes reaching towards them, biting my tongue.
"Alright. Come here." I walked up to them and gave them both a hug with arms wide open, just enough to reach around both their waists. Their lanky arms hugged me tightly. It was hard to move as I tried to wiggle out. I gasped out, "Enough now."
Finally they let me go, allowing me to breathe properly. "So, I'II see you all later. Goodnight." I waved, raising my eyebrow, twisting on my heel as I walked to Professor McGonagall.
"I see you're done now," She commented patiently, and I nodded slowly in respect to the serious teacher.
She glanced at someone behind me, then at my back, a small smile appearing, then it disappeared like magic. "Ahem," She coughed awkwardly, "Ms Nibley. Hate to be the one to tell you, but there is some toilet paper in your pants. remove it please."
I turned around to see Fred and George beaming, and hooting with laughter as they jabbed each other in pleasant love.. I should've known from their previous display of uncommon affection. I yanked the toilet paper out of my pants, may Merlin bless you Professor McGonagall. I shoot them a quick glare, but was unable to conceal the amusement in my eyes. They wink at me.
