***The day was cold, the air was slightly crisp, and the clouds blanketed the skies. This made me feel relieved that I didn't sleep in the dungeons. All night I had been thinking about yesterday, getting locked in with Draco. I felt like a fool. I felt helpless.
After I gave the cloak back to Fred and George, I hoped they'd had returned it to Harry, I moved my trunk and belongings to my Ravenclaw dorm. Moving everyday was a bit of a nuisance, but thank God... or Merlin?... that the voting would be over in a few days, and I could finally settle into one of the four houses. As to which one, I was still not sure, but only time could tell.
Huffing, I dragged my body off my bed, gathered my toiletries and freshened up in the shared bathroom. Once the splash of cold water hit my face, it brought an abrupt awakeness I surely needed.
Walking down to the Great Hall, it was littered with only a few early birds dotted about. A few Ravenclaws, some with books in hand, Slytherins chatting and laughing at their table. I could have sworn I saw a pair of familiar icy blue eyes staring at me, but when I looked back to the Slytherin table, Draco's eyes were locked with Blaise's, deep in conversation.
I saw Harry, Ron and Hermoine doing their usual chattering, so I smiled and waved. I waddled towards the trio when Hermione tapped the empty space next to her. "So which house are you in today?" Harry asked, "Ravenclaw." At which Harry nodded. "I always thought it would be fun to be in all the houses." Hermione said. I nodded, "I guess so" I answered back, conveniently leaving out the fact that I thought Daphne was going to kill me in my sleep next time I stayed in Slytherin.
"I know who stole my cloak-" Harry whispered to Hermione, Ron, and myself. My stomach dropped. I still felt awful, because me stealing that cloak led to Draco and Harry fighting the day before. I was just about to start apologising profusely, when Harry beat me to it. "It was Fred and George. They gave it back to me this morning. They said they needed it to sneak into the kitchens, to avoid Filch" Harry said. I let out a silent sigh of relief. I had dodged a bullet. Again.
"Fred and George usually get into all sorts of trouble with Filch" Ron said, annoyed that his brothers had taken his best friend's cloak. "I'm just thankful it wasn't someone else. Someone who wanted the cloak for other purposes. You know... bad purposes" Harry whispered, his gaze locked on Draco.
"And who took Malfoy's wand? Did you find out?" Ron chirped in. "I'm not sure. But Draco hasn't tried to pick another fight so I think he knows it's not me." Harry answered back.
The smell of bacon and eggs filled the room as food magically appeared on top of the tables. George and Oliver Wood sat down at the opposite of me, whilst Fred sat down right next to me, and when we're settled, the seven of us started eating. Finally I got a chance to get properly acquainted with Oliver Wood. He was very kind and smiled a lot, although absorbed with quidditch, never not thinking about practice or his role as captain of the team. He talked about how he was graduating next year, so his last year of matches was important to him.
"We're late for class!" Hermione said, alarmed. I whipped my head around towards the other tables, expecting to see other students, but the tables were nearly empty. I guess we all got too caught up in conversation, that we didn't realize everyone else had left. We all grabbed our bags and books in a hurry, and raced to our classes.
"Hurry up! No time to waste", Snape's voice echoed through the room. "Today we are going to learn how to deal with a Boggart, anyone know what a Boggart is?" Hands flew up, no doubt of course all Ravenclaws, and Hermione. Fortunately, my class was with Gryffindor, so I could be with Hermione, Ron, and Harry, but I felt very out of place, being the only student in royal blue robes, on the side of the classroom filled with a sea of deep red robes.
