I awoke to a blue tapestry hanging over my head, and a girl humming a song on my right. I looked over to see Luna fiddling with one of the trinkets on her dresser, while Cho was cuddled up on an azure velvet loveseat in the corner of the dormitory, nose deep in a book.
"Good morning" Luna said in a sing-song voice, upon seeing my open eyes.
"Good morning Luna" I said back, stretching my arms over my head. After exchanging pleasantries with my two roommates, I asked the question that has been in the back of my mind since I returned to the castle yesterday afternoon.
"Where's Terry?" I said nervously. The corners of Cho's mouth pulled up into a smirk. "I haven't seen him since Hogsmeade. He looked all red and embarrassed, and I happen to know you two were together" Cho said in her thick Scottish accent, "and I think something happened. Care to share?".
I felt my cheeks burn red. But Cho and Luna are my friends after all, so I decided to tell them. As I tell them about the unexpected kiss, Cho's jaw drops lower and lower to the floor, while Luna looked at me dreamily. "I think I could have complied a better reply than 'What the fuck?', so I feel really, really bad". Cho let out a chuckle and Luna smiled sweetly. I figured Luna wouldn't be one for teen drama.
"Okay, you definitely need to find him and talk to him about it, because if you end up getting voted into Ravenclaw, that's going to be so awkward," Cho said. I nodded my head in agreement, "I need to find him first...". I mumbled. "Speaking of, when is your voting and sorting ceremony?" Luna asked in a soft voice.
"Well the ceremony is tonight, so I'd assume whoever hasn't put their vote in already has until the feast tonight". The girls nodded, and Cho said "If it means anything, Luna and I want you to be in Ravenclaw''. I smile sweetly at the two girls before the realization hits me.
Tonight. I will be in my permanent house tonight.

"So, how did your little date go?" George asked cheerfully as we walked to the Great Hall. I rolled my eyes and sped up, but that proved to be incredibly anti-climatic, because of the twin's long legs, they easily kept up to my pace.
"We want to hear all the gory details!" George said, slinging his arm over my shoulders. "Don't we Fred?", George said, looking at his brother. Fred's cheeks turned red and he nodded after a short hesitation.
"Nothing happened. We had lunch and then we came back" I said, a little too quickly. It's not that I didn't trust the twins, because I did. But I couldn't shake the feeling that if I told them about the kiss, they wouldn't stop teasing me about it until the end of time.
"You see, we figured you'd say that. So we decided to follow you on your little date! Secretly of course, wouldn't want you or Bootie Boy knowing what we were up to" Fred said.
My cheeks burned a bright red. "You what?!" I snapped angrily. "Woah Nibley, not so feisty. We just figured if anything were to happen, you wouldn't tell us about it" George said, my sudden anger coming as a shock to him.
"So... you saw... you know- the thing?" I said slowly. "If you're talking about that awkward kiss, then yes, we did" Fred said, his cheeks turning slightly pink as well. I looked down at the ground, embarrassed. Oh God, they were going to tease me big time for this.
