Chapter 9 - Love?!

You woke up a lot later than Ash today and he was sitting on your bed, waiting for you to wake up. Today you have ICT, PE, Physics, French and Music, and you like most of them. That very thought made you all excited for today. "Y/N, we have school, wake up," Ash sweetly said. "Mhm," you replied, not concentrating the second after he spoke to you sweetly. "How strong is his crush on me?" you thought.

"Y/N!!!! WAIT UP!!!!" Serena yelled and all the girls from the group came running towards you. "Hi everyone!" you smiled and waved and stopped and grabbed Ash to stop him from being in a hurry.

The boys started showing up when you guys arrived at the cafeteria. "This group is expanding," Misty commented as you guys giggled. "What's so funny?" Ash asked with the dumbest look on his face. You blushed and giggled at his density.

After all of you finished breakfast, you guys parted ways for class. "Gladion! Wanna walk to class with us?" you offered. You felt bad for his loneliness but at the same time, you felt that he puts on this character and wants to be lonely on purpose. It kinda felt like it's his ambition.

"No thanks Y/N," Gladion replied, blushing a little. You shrugged and gave him a smile and he smiled slightly. "S-S-So, Y-Y/N, do you want t-to go to class n-now?" Ash asked and you blushed. "Do I have a crush on him?" you thought as your blush became more visible. "Are you okay Y/N?" Ash asked. "Y-yeah, I-I'm fine. Nothing w-wrong," you stammered and looked away.

You arrived at your classroom, which is at the top floor of the building, unfortunately. Ash was panting and he toppled over when he reached the top floor. "You need to do more exercise," you jokingly said and smirked. You grabbed Ash's bag and carried it while he stood up.

"T-Thanks, Y/N," he said and both of you blushed. "Aww that's cute," you thought, "Wait...nonononononono Y/N, what are you thinking?"

Ash took his bag back and you went into the class. "Hiiii," you said and the class waved at you with a friendly expression. You gained a lot of popularity amongst the students in the school and all the students want to be your friend, except a small group of jealous people, who didn't really like you because they think you are spoiled.

You took your seat and Gladion arrived. "Gladion you're here!" you said and he came over and sat down. This time, he was more open to you. You had to code during ICT class, which you didn't like because you barely had any idea on how to do that.

After ICT, you and Ash went to PE. "Ughh why, PE, ughhh," Ash moaned, "We've just done PE!!!" You rolled your eyes and said, "No we haven't, walking up the stairs doesn't count." He blushed when you pretended to be angry and you blushed when he blushed. "He's so cute!!!" you thought.

You won the game of football again after your teacher made you guys run laps as a warm-up, and you all did some practice. You changed back to your normal clothes after class.

"Attention please, all students. Please go to the hall after break time. The Principal wants to talk to all of you," the loudspeaker blared. You and Ash stared at each other and shrugged. "How cute!!!" you thought and blushed crimson red. You fangirled at the fact that Ash acted and looked cute. You met the group at breaktime and Gladion joined in too, despite his edginess towards everyone, except you. He sat next to you and stayed quiet and ate his food.

You guys wandered to the hall and got seated. All the middle schoolers arrived after a few minutes. The seniors were somewhere else.

"Alright students, I am the Principal of this school, and today I would like to talk to you all about the new school dress code. As you see, many schools in this beautiful Kalos region requires students to wear uniforms and I've made my decision. Upon my request, I'd like you guys to wear uniforms starting this Tuesday, which is tomorrow. I believe that uniforms will reduce peer pressure, and it will promote a feeling of community. I understand that some of you may not like the uniforms and you might be annoyed that I am declaring this uniform rule so late, I apologize for that but nothing to worry because your uniforms are sent to your dorms. You will have 3 sets each. And finally, to wrap this assembly up, I'd like to announce some good news."

After the principal finished his super long soliloquy, you guys headed to lesson 4. French was easy, and again, the teacher had seating plans for you guys and you got to sit next to Ash again, which was a relief to you. You learned the basics of French in the lesson and you understood that very well.

You had lunch after and you got a hotdog with fries and ice cream. Ash got something healthier and you joined the group for lunch.

You finished lunch and went to music with Ash. Music was quite fun but mostly boring because you had to compose something boring.

"Finally, school is finished," you said, nudging Ash. He blushed and so did you. You held his hand without realizing and he did the same, not realizing too. You guys went to find the group.

"Hi people," you said. "Hi Y/N, Ash. Umm...why are you holding hands?" Dawn asked, smirking. "Oh, they're such kids," Iris commented, rolling her eyes. "This is a sweet taste of romance," Cilan commented. "Nobody gets what you are talking about," Misty moaned. "Oh whatever Misty, don't be so mean. Are you guys a couple now?" Dawn questioned further. "Dawn!!! Don't he pushy!!!" Cilan sighed in exasperation. "Uhh...alright then, umm...I'm tired, I'm going to take a nap," you said as you walked into the room, breaking contact with Ash's hand.

"Ughh, I'm so sleepy," you said as you plopped onto your bed and fell asleep. "W-W-Were you staring at me???" you stammered, while blushing in shock, when you woke up. Ash looked away in embarrassment. "I uhh...umm...y-y-yes," he whispered.

Ash took a shower after you and you grabbed dinner. You didn't bother changing so you put on sandals and a jacket and got food from the cafeteria. You and Ash got salad and apple juice with macarons for dinner.

After dinner, you sat on your bed, locking eyes with Ash. "Y/N, I umm...need to uhh...tell you something," Ash nervously said and you started to blushed madly, and so did he. "Yeah, what's that?" you nervously said, with a hint of excitement in your voice but not wanting to confess before him because you didn't have the gut. Besides, you didn't want to spoil this moment also you wanted to see what he has to say.

"Come here," he said and blushed. You went over to his side and sat down next to him. He slowly leaned in as he blushed crimson red. Then, he planted a kiss on your cheek as you blushed and fangirled inside. "I love you," he quietly said, avoiding eye contact and twiddling his fingers.

You blushed as your eyes widened but quickly calmed down. You stayed silent as you were speechless, and recovering from the shock in your heart at what just happened.

Ash looked back up and gulped. "Uhh...are you okay?" he asked. You tackled him in a tight hug as he hugged back. "I love you too," you quietly said, secretly fangirling inside.
