Today is the day you finally go back to school. Also, you're getting your exam grades today!!!! Today will bring you joy and nothing else, hopefully, Serena won't come and pester you.
"Y/N we're getting our grades today, hurry up or you'll miss it!!" Ash yelled excitedly. You felt a heap of excitement in your body but you also wanted to sleep more. Your instincts made up your mind so you just pulled the blanket upwards and groaned then fell asleep again. The best way to ignore someone and get back to bed.
~10 Minutes Later~
You felt someone constantly poking you and you opened your eyes again. "My plan didn't work," you thought, as you gave Ash a disapproving look. "Now that I'm AWAKE, I'll stay awake," you sarcastically said and winked. Ash just stood there, blinking at you. "You heard me," you stuck your tongue out and he blushed.

"Alright, class, here are your grades," your teacher ran in, waving a stack of envelopes that all students would treat differently than other envelopes. An envelope that is like a diamond to them. No, more like gold. The class cheered and clapped while you sat there quietly, waiting for the grades to be delivered.
"Congrats Y/N," your teacher whispered. You put on a broad smile on your face as you opened your envelope. The rest of the class did the same but a few of them stared at you as if you're the ruler of the world.
The paper had medium sized texts printed on:
[Your Name] [Your Last Name]
English: A+
French: A
Math: A+
Science: A+
Music: A+
PE: A
You screamed as if you were given the title as the 'Queen of Kalos'. "What?" Ash asked, confused at what the scream was for. "Take a look," you ecstatically said. "Sure," he replied, as he handed his paper to you too.
Ash Ketchum
English: A-
French: B+
Math: B
Science: C
Music: A+
PE: C
"Heyyy two As!!!" you exclaimed and high five Ash. "It's not good," he muttered. "Awww, you'll do better next time, and at least you've learnt something," you sweetly said, kissing him on his cheek. "Pleaseeee...Y/N, you're going to make everyone's heart melt before the first lesson ends," your teacher laughed. The whole class burst into laughters and you blushed and scratched your head.
On the way to your second class, you decided to part ways with Ash because you wanted to go and grab something from your locker.
Suddenly, Serena, who officially became your love rival, came out of nowhere, and grabbed your collar of your uniform. "What...did...I...tell...you?" she growled. "Let me go!!!" you yelled. "Not until you promise to break up with Ash," Serena darkly said. "No, I'm not breaking up with him," you stubbornly scolded. "Then ta-," Serena tried to pull a punch, but only to be caught by Alain. "Let her go," Alain firmly said. At that very moment, you saw a knife slightly sticking out of Serena's pocket.
Serena gulped and ran off. "Are you okay Y/N?" Alain sweetly asked. "I-I..." you stuttered a little, but not much sound came out. In a flash, you found yourself collapsing onto the floor. Alain caught you before your body hit the ground.

You woke up after an hour and looked around. "Where am I?!!!!??" you weakly asked. "Where's Alain???" you questioned. "Oh, I told him to go toclass and I didn't want to leave you so I skipped class," Ash said, stroking your hair with one hand, and holding his face up with the other.
You tried to sit up but Ash pushed you back down. "You're not going anywhere," he said. "Why," you coldly said. "You somehow saw a knife and fainted, and you need to rest," Ash replied and you sighed in defeat.
~2 Hours later~
You convinced Ash to let you go back to class after lunch and he agreed but, you had to promise to stay with him so he could keep an eye on you.
You were walking to your last class and just about time, Serena stopped by. "Hi Serena," Ash cheerfully said. "Hey Ash, how's it going?" she sweetly replied and blushed. "We're going to class now, nothing special.
Some kid at the end of the corridor screamed in excitement and it caused Ash to look at his direction and Serena got the chance to glare at you with eyes looking like daggers.
"Bye," you angrily said and walked away alone. "Y/N!!!! Wait!!!" Ash called but you didn't hear that.
Serena smirked and pulled Ash and went off.
Ash's POV
Why is Serena pulling me????
She stopped and looked at me. "You wanna hang afterschool?" she asked. I couldn't reject because she was a friend so I nodded.
"Alright bye," I said and ran away.

~After School~
Your POV
You stayed in your dorm afterschool while Ash hung with stupid Serena.
~2 Hours Later
He came back with a fake faint smile, and you could tell something was up. "What's wrong?" you questioned. "N-nothing, I uhh, just went to hang with Serena, we d-didn't do anything much b-but do homework," Ash stuttered, not keeping eye contact.
"Oh okay?" you shrugged. You could tell something was going on and you had to find out but just not at the moment.
~6 Months Later~
Almost everything stayed the same. But there was one thing. Serena. Her hate on you got stronger and stronger as everyday passed. That caused you to almost get into a fight with Ash, which made both of you quiet for the day.
Serena won't change. But will it affect you more? Or will Serena do something about her hate?
