Namjoon could not contain his excitement as the professional expression on his face morphed into a large smile the moment he exited the courtroom, his long legs practically bouncing with overwhelming joy. Every promise he had made to Taehyung had finally become reality, and within only a few days, the young brunette would be surrounded by his friends once again.

They had been through so much the last two months, hoping and praying they were making the right decisions and in the end, they had. Seeing the look of optimism sprout back onto Tae's face before he was escorted out was the cherry on top Namjoon needed to confirm all their hard work was not in vain.

Although he was not on the official legal team that fought for his friends freedom, a sense of accomplishment surged through Namjoon as if carried by some electrical current. Every nerve ending in his body was vibrating, adrenaline searching for an escape before he combusted with excitement.

Clapping his hands together with a sense of power, Namjoon turned to face his group of friends that followed him out of the courtroom, sizing up their equally pleased smiles.

"So this means that Tae gets to come home?" Jin asked, his arm wrapped securely around his brother's neck as he leaned into the small circle they had all subconsciously formed in the middle of the hallway.

Namjoon nodded his head and ran his fingers down his face, yielding himself from either tearing up or screaming. "We still have to work out all the details but yes, Tae gets to come home."

The entire group let out a heavy sigh, silently thanking the gods for making this miracle happen.

"What do you mean by details?" Jungkook questioned, his brows furrowing slightly. "Isn't he a free man now that this is all over with?"

"Not exactly." Hoseok interjected. "There's still rules he has to follow."

Namjoon nodded in agreement. "He'll most likely be on parole for a year as the judge said, which means there are certain things he cannot do, as well as regular check in's with his parole officer." His head snapped up the moment Mrs. Song exited the courtroom, flagging him down to follow as she spoke into her phone. He couldn't wait to exert his built up energy into something more stimulating and gratifying. The quicker they were able to finalize everything, the sooner he could have a little bit of fun. "I need to head to the office and help figure everything out. I'll text you guys when I have more details." He replied, waving them off as he jogged down the hall and out the front doors.

As the group slowly made their way to the exit, Jungkook pulled himself free of his brother's tight grip and looked around the hall, searching for the one person he had been warned not to cause a scene with. The moment he had first laid eyes on the pink head of hair entering the courtroom, he was instantly held back by his brother from acting out in any way that would distract from the real reason they were there.

In all honesty, he had hoped the older boy would show up, given he had skipped every group activity when invited. Since this was the final hearing, and he happened to be Tae's other best friend, it only made sense he would be there to support. Once Jungkook had made the realization this might be his only chance to see him, he spent the majority of the morning creating a mental list of everything he wished to talk about.

Spotting the head of pink hair in the distance, Jungkook quickened his pace, moving through the hallway until the older boy was practically within arms length. It took every muscle in his tense body to avoid slamming his chest into the smallers back and wrapping his arms tightly around him, an image he had daydreamed about more than he cared to admit.

"Long time, no see." He commented instead, keeping his stride even with the boy beside him. In his attempt at playing cool, Jungkook found his face heating up at the sudden close proximity, underestimating his feelings of finally being beside him again.
