ricky smiled as he read the text messages from serena about the plan that she had made for later that night.
he quickly shut his phone off as he felt the brunette start moving beside him, slowly waking up.
"hey, good morning," he smiled at her.
"mm," she mumbled, still half asleep.
"did you have a good sleep?"
she slowly nodded her head as she snuggled closer to ricky, tightening her grip on him.
"who were you texting?" she asked, with her eyes still closed.
"hm?"
she opened her eyes to look up at him as she furrowed her brows, still getting used to the morning light.
"i heard you laughing."
"oh, i uh- i was just texting kourtney," he lied, "she was telling me about how she locked her brother in the closet cause he was being too loud while she did homework."
"oh."
"hey, um, i'm gonna go get ready, okay?" he said before getting up quickly to head to the bathroom, "we have to get to school soon."
"okay," she replied, still confused as to why he was acting so weird.
