To put it simply, math class was torture.

They couldn't concentrate on anything other than each other's faces, and that wasn't going to help them find x, was it?

"So, um, we do 50 ÷ 0.82?" Soobin asked the elder, who was much better than him at math.

Well, most of the time.

"Uh...isn't it 50 × 0.82?" Yeonjun mumbled, unsure. Soobin groaned and snapped his pencil in half. "Why does math exist?!"

"It wouldn't be so hard if you weren't in front of me." Yeonjun whispered. Soobin looked up in confusion. "Nothing, just focus on the numbers."

"You two look like you're being grilled alive," Mr. Kim joked, earning a laugh from Huening Kai, because Kai laughed at anything.

"This is bull- rubbish. This is absolute rubbish." Yeonjun snapped. "It's not that hard, just concentrate."

"Easier said than done!" Soobin whined.

"Fine, should you switch partners with someone else?" They both sat up with widened eyes.

"NO!"

The whole class silence and turned to the two now embarrassed boys. "Uh...okay? What will help?"

"Nothing. I'll die in this classroom." Soobin exaggerated, placing a hand on his chest. Yeonjun rolled his eyes. "Drama queen."

"Shut up, blue boy."

"Suck my-"

"OKAY! LET'S NOT GO THERE!" Beomgyu yelled from the other side of the classroom. Soobin blushed and hid his face in his hands. "I hate school."

"Mood!" Lisa called out, throwing a paper ball at the wall. Suddenly, everyone started talking about how much they hated school or a certain class, teacher or student.

Basically, it was a mess.

Mr. Kim decided to just let them talk because he couldn't be asked to say anything else,

and that's how Soobin and Yeonjun got out of having to work together for an hour.
