Soobin was about to call Yeonjun when his phone lit up. Soobin picked up immediately.

"That was quick-"

"I was just about to call you-"

"After I gave you five missed calls?"

"S-Shut up."

"Your voice sounds weird. Were you crying?"

"It doesn't matter. Why'd you call?"

"Don't change the subje-"

"Wanna go to the festival?"

There was silence at the end of the line, as if Yeonjun was debating whether to let it go. Thankfully, he did.

"Mm, I was just about to ask you."

"It's a date." Soobin smiled. "Yeah, are you gonna wear a costume?"

"Don't have one."

"Me neither. I'll come get you-"

"I'm kinda locked in my room right now..."

"Really, why?"

"Aren't you grounded?"

"Always changing the subject...Yeah, I'm still in the mood to piss her off."

"Pfft, okay~"

"How about we meet at the the festival?"

"Alright, don't get caught."

"Right back at you, baby."

Soobin blushed and mumbled a goodbye.

The call ended and Soobin put on a simple outfit. Their was a knock on the door. "H-Hyungie?"

Sunoo peeked in with a pout. Soobin gave him a smile. "Hey, sunshine."

"I'm really, really, really, really sorry...I thought he-" Soobin pulled his younger brother into a warm embrace and rubbed circles on his back. "It's okay, Sunshine. I know you had good intentions only."

Sunoo nodded into Soobin's shoulder and then looked up at his brother. "Are you going out?" Soobin nodded and glanced at the clock on the wall. "Yeah, I still have a few minutes before I meet up with him."

"Him? You have a date?" Sunoo exclaimed with a grin. Soobin nodded and blushed. "I mean, it's probably not a date-"

Mr Choi cleared his throat at the door and crossed his arms. "A date? I'm guessing it's with a boy." Soobin ignored his father and looked for something. "Don't be childish, I know you're not looking for-"

Soobin pulled out Yeonjun's coat from his wardrobe and stuck his tongue out at Mr Choi. He pushed past his father and went down the stairs. "Are you going out? It's a school night." Mrs Choi reminded.

"I know, I'll be home soon." Soobin assured, putting his shoes on. "Alright, just don't run away."

"Why would I-"

"Your father is unbearable, I would understand if you wanted too." Soobin laughed, said goodbye and left.

Yeonjun finished getting dressed, and had to think of a way to escape. He looked around his room and decided that climbing out his window was the best choice. Yeonjun opened his window and cold air rushed in, making him shiver. He hadn't recovered fully from his sickness yet.

"Okay, now I gotta get down..." He got a rope from his wardrobe - which was there because he did a survival class a few months ago, not for...things - and tied is to the door knob. Thankfully, the rope was long enough for him to throw the other end through the window. Taking a deep breath, Yeonjun climbed down the wall of his house, using the rope for support.

After safely making it down and making sure his mother didn't see him, Yeonjun made his way to the festival.

Halloween decorations, good food and happy people.

Fun, right?

Soobin couldn't hide the smile on his face as he explored the festival. Many people had costumes on and those who didn't either had face paint or cute headbands. There were kids, couples, families and friends who had come to enjoy themselves.

Soobin was looking up at the Ferris wheel when to hands covered his eyes. He was about to scream when he heard the familiar honey-like voice. "Guess who~"

Soobin turned and pushed Yeonjun away. "Jesus fucking Christ! You scared the shit out of me, Jun!"

Yeonjun apologised to the tall bunny who nearly had a heart attack and looked up at the Ferris wheel. "Did you wanna go on it?"

Soobin shook his head. "Nah, I'm scared of heights." Yeonjun nodded. "Okay, wait here."

The younger frowned in confusion and watched Yeonjun go off into the crowd. He looked back up at the Ferris wheel and sighed. It looked fun, but he'd probably have a mini panic attack once he's up there.

"Here." Yeonjun said, back at his side. Soobin looked down at his hands and saw a cute keychain. It was a bunny and a fox cuddling in a blanket under the stars. "It's my gift to you. A lucky charm or something to ward off bad spirits or some shit, whatever. Just keep it."

Soobin took the charm with a huge grin. "Thanks, Yeonjun." Yeonjun blushed and shrugged. "Whatever. Do you wanna go on the Ferris wheel now?"

Soobin nodded and they went to get a ride. But, as always, thing have to be difficult.

"Sorry boys, only couples are allowed now. You missed the friend rides." The man said, accepting money from a couple and let them on. Soobin pouted but Yeonjun spoke up. "We are a couple," He took Soobin's hands in his own. "On a date, right Binnie?"

Soobin's mind went blank and he could feel his face heat up, but nodded. The man gave them a skeptical look but let them on either way. Once they were on, Soobin released a breath and hit Yeonjun on the shoulder.

"Idiot! Don't say things like that without warning!" Yeonjun laughed and looked out the window. "Wow, there are so many people here."

Reluctantly, Soobin looked below and was in awe. "It's nice..."

"Soobin?" Yeonjun called out. Soobin turned and waited for Yeonjun to continue. "Can you tell me why you were crying now?"
