Soobin burst into the classroom, panting. "Where is he?" he asked his teacher, who was looking quite worried. "He saw the video and ran out-"
Soobin left the classroom and searched all over the school, but couldn't find him.

He decided to leave school and find Yeonjun before the elder did anything stupid.

Yeonjun entered his house, emptiness enveloping his once again. With pain in his heart, he kicked off his shoes and leaned against the front door, closing his eyes to prevent tears from falling. He went to the kitchen for a glass of water and saw his mother sitting at the table as if she was waiting this whole time for him. "...We need to talk," She whispered, so quiet Yeonjun barely heard it.

The yellow-haired shook his head, stepping back. "No...No, I already know what you want to say-"

"We're moving. Tomorrow." Yerin announced. "No-"

"You have no say in this Yeonjun! I gave you too much freedom and I neglected you, but now I'm back to take responsibility. You have no idea how disappointed I felt when I watched that video! Say goodbye to Soobin, because you're never seeing him, or this place again!"

Yeonjun searched for any sign of hesitance in his mother's face but saw anger and shame. "Why?"

"What do you mean why-"

"Why did you leave me? After he left...I thought we could try and stay the same...but you ignored me and left me! I-Is it my fault he left us?"

Yerin blinked away the tears that burned her eyes and let out a shaky breath. "I never told you why he left...did I?"

Soobin and Yeonjun were on the swings, eating ice cream and enjoying each other's company. Soobin disobeyed his father's wishes and became friends with the elder, maybe even best friends...maybe more.
However, they were young and didn't understand the feelings they had for each other but they stayed by each other's side.

"Do you want some of my ice cream, jjun?" Soobin questioned, holding his vanilla ice cream towards him. "Nah, my one hasn't melted yet," Yeonjun denied, waving his mint choco ice cream at Soobin. Soobin grimaced at the ice cream and stuck his tongue out, causing Yeonjun to let out an angelic laugh.

"How do you eat that? Vanilla is best, plain and simple." Soobin huffed, continuing to lick his ice cream. Yeonjun rolled his eyes and started to swing again. Unfortunately, his ice cream dropped on the sandy ground and his eyes watered. Soobin noticed this and slipped off his swing, patting Yeonjun on the back. "It's okay, we can share!"

"No...I don't want boring vanilla!" Yeonjun whined. Soobin wiped the few tears that escaped and smiled sweetly. "I have an idea."

Yeonjun looked at his friend curiously and watched him lean closer. "Do you want a kiss on the cheek? To feel better?" For some unknown reason, Yeonjun found himself blushing at that idea. "O-On the cheek? Well...my mummy gives daddy a kiss on the lips!" Yeonjun pouted and pointed at Soobin's lips. The bunny seemed to be thinking, before nodding and planted a little peck on the elder's lips. Yeonjun was content at first, until-

"No! That's not how they do it!" He said, crossing his arms in frustration. Soobin huffed in annoyance, before grabbing Yeonjun's pink fluffy hoodie and pulling him into a deeper kiss. It was messy, of course, considering they were children, but it definitely made Yeonjun's sour mood disappear.

They separated and this time it wasn't only Yeonjun blushed. "Do you...want to do that again?" Soobin asked. Yeonjun was about to answer, then their father's rushed to separate them.

"What was that, Soobin?!" Sangchul, Soobin's father, yelled, visibly angry. Yeonjun's father, Yeonsan, crouched down and looked at Yeonjun with soft eyes. "Why did you kiss him?"

Yeonjun looked down, feeling as if he did something wrong. "I-I'm sorry-"

"Shh, there's nothing to be sorry about, Jun-ah. I just want to know why you kissed him."

"He was giving me a kiss like you give mummy to make me feel better...that's all," Yeonjun explained, looking at his father with innocent eyes. "That's okay, it's just a kiss-"

"Just a kiss?! Your son kissed mine!" Sangchul snapped. "Mr Choi, they're just experimenting as children. I'm sure you did...questionable things too." Yeonsan calmed, rubbing circles into the anxious Yeonjun's back. Soobin watched that interaction with envy, he wanted his dad to comfort him too, rather than give him the silent treatment.

"Well, I'd much rather if they kissed girls instead!"

"...Is that really what you're upset about?" Yeonsan frowned, standing up straight. "If you're being homophobic-"

"And what if I am? I will not allow my son to become a faggot...or involve himself with one." Sangchul spat. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't insult my son, directly or indirectly."

"Whatever, I'm afraid my son won't be anywhere near yours."

"Are you aware of the fact that you and I work-"

"You're fired." Sangchul deadpanned, taking Soobin's hand and dragging him away. Yeonsan stared after them, shock running through him. Fired?

"I'm sorry, daddy..." Yeonjun mumbled. Yeonsan forced on a smile for his little boy. "It's gonna be alright, Jun."

"After that, we were basically dirt poor. We nearly lost the house and...your father he just felt so ashamed, useless..." Yerin finished. "So...it is my fault then?"

Yerin shook her head and stood up, taking Yeonjun's hands in hers. "No, Jun, No! This is that man's fault for firing him-"

"No! It's my fault! That's why he left, and that's why you left- and now we're leaving because of me! Fuck, Soobin must be in so much shit right now because of me!" Yeonjun rambled, stepping away from her. "It's gonna be alright, Jun. We'll move and-"

"Stop telling me it's going to be okay! Stop!" Yeonjun snapped, slamming his hand on the table. He felt like shit. He felt like he was pain and suffering itself.  Yerin watched in fear and sadness as Yeonjun walked out, and flinched at the loud, harsh bang of the front door slamming.
