Hand in hand, Soobin and Yeonjun walked around the park aimlessly, enjoying each other's company and finding comfort in the simple words. The sun had fully set and now the moon was shining bright on them. Soobin told Yeonjun little stories, venturing further back into his memory.

"But it gets a little...blurry." Soobin says. The were at the edge of a small lake. The Lilly-pads had cute pink flowers that Yeonjun needed to take home. "Blurry? What do you mean?"

Soobin sat down on the grass and dipped a finger into the cold water. "It's like my memories were erased, or something. I can only see quick things like my old school bag or whatever."

"Oh. Doesn't that happen to everyone though?" Yeonjun sat beside Soobin. "Never mind, it doesn't matter anyway. Tell me about you."

Yeonjun reached out and picked a flower. It felt soft and delicate in his hands. "There's nothing to tell."

"I don't believe that," Soobin turned to Yeonjun, with a smile. "Just by looking at you, I know there are a lot of stories to tell."

Yeonjun sighed. "Why are you like this?"

"Huh?"

"Why do you need to know everything? Why do you need to help everyone?"

Soobin's smile fell. "How deep do you think this lake is?"

Yeonjun rolled his eyes. "Answer my question."

Soobin stood up and looked into the water. "Deep enough to drown maybe?"

"Soobin." Yeonjun called out. He had no idea why the younger was suddenly talking about drowning.

"Sunoo nearly drowned."

Yeonjun frowned and stood up. "What?"

"I can't remember it clearly, I was only five. It was by a lake like this, we were just having fun. All I remember is splashing, screaming and crying."

Yeonjun stayed quiet.

"Sunoo...he remembers a lot. He has nightmare of that day, and he can't get near a swimming pool without freaking out. It's really fucked up."

Yeonjun sat down again and looked up at the moon. "So?"

"It used to be worse. He'd have these moments when he'd freak out. If it was gonna rain, we'd have to rush to go home. I can't remember why I did, but whenever my parents weren't home, I'd get a water gun and spray him with it."

Yeonjun laughed and ran a hand through his hair. The sound of laughter made Soobin smile, despite the sad story.

"Surprisingly, it helped him. Over time he stop getting scared and was able to do things like bathe without crying. I helped him."

"That still doesn't answer my question, Binnie."

"What I'm saying is, I felt proud. I helped someone get over their fear and be happy. I wanted to do it again. So that's why I help people." Soobin sat down again, and dipped his hand in the water.

"That's stupid. If you think that's your purpose in the world, you're an idiot."

"Oh? And what is my purpose?"

"I don't know. But helping people isn't a purpose."

"If I didn't do it, who would?"

"I'm sure there are many other's who could."

"Are you saying I'm replaceable?"

"Aren't we all?"

Soobin scoffed and stood up, walking away. "Where are you going?"
