*************Allie's POV*******
I grabbed the orange juice out of the fridge, and poured it into the glass I was holding. I placed it on the counter, and then grabbed the two plates out of the cabinet. As I turned around, My mom was standing in front of me. I dropped the plates as I screamed.
"Oh. Mom. Hi. You scared me!" I was kind of dissapointed that she was home. I didn't want any of my time with Ty to be interrupted.
She wasn't supposed to be here.. She was supposed to be in New York working.
When she didn't reply, I was a little surprised. "W-what are you doing here?"
She took a step towards me and I was really intimidated.
"What. Did you DO. To MY. House." She was still standing in front of me with her arms crossed, and she had a strange look in her eye. I was really scared.
"Allie what's wrong?!?!" I heard Tyler run down the stairs, but he stopped right before he got to my mom. "Oh. Hi Mrs. Hawkins. Uhh. What are you doing?" He slowly walked over to my side and stood protectively over me.
"My house. Is. Gone." Her hair was messy, and her clothes looked old and worn.
"Mom, I told you. It burned down-"
"LIAR. YOU NEVER SAID ANYTHING BURNED DOWN. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY HOUSE!" She was screaming, and her fists were clenched tight. "I'VE DONE NOTHING BUT SPOIL YOU ROTTEN AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?!?!" She slapped me, and I screamed again.
"Don't lay a hand on her!" Tyler stepped inbetween me and my mom as I gasped and held the side of my face.
"Mom..." I tried not to cry, but she had really hurt me.
"YOU'RE JUST A WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP. I NEVER WANTED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE. YOU STUPID MISTAKE."
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" I had never heard Tyler yell before, and it surprised me. "Leave my house immediately. This is legally my house if you say it's my parents, and I don't ever want you to show up here again. You are rude, and mean. And I don't EVER want you laying another hand on Alie. Ever."
My mother looked completely shocked, but she lunged at Tyler, and I screamed yet again. He easily pushed her off, and grabbed her wrists. He held them behind her back as she started screaming.
"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TOUCH ME. GET OFF, GET OFF!!!!!" she was trying to get away, but Tyler was stronger than she was.
"Mom..." I was sobbing now, and I didn't know what to do. "M-Mom.. are you drunk?"
Tyler took my mom and lead her out the door. "You need to leave now."
"NO. NEVER. YOU CAN'T MAKE ME. LET ME GO!!" She was sobbing now, and I didn't know what to do.
"Mom.. You're.. drunk?" I fell into a little pile on the kitchen floor. I had glass in my arms, but I didn't care. I was too broken to care. My mom had stooped to a new low, and I didn't know what to do. "My.. Mom. Is. Drunk?"
Tyler closed the door behind him, and I could hear my mom's screams less and less as Tyler took her out of hearing. I was sobbing more and more now, and my whole body was shaking.
"Drunk... No.... Not.. Drunk... You.. She... Her... Drunk... No......" I was gasping for air now. I couldn't breathe enough. I was sobbing too much. I was trying to breathe, but I was too upset to concentrate on something so.. un-important.
************
When I woke up, I was in Tyler's bed, and he was leaning over me.
"Are you okay?" He was smiling, and I could see the worry dissapear.
"Yeah.. What happened?" I could see the little cuts in my hand as I moved the hair out of my face.
"You passed out.." He laughed a little, but not too much. He shifted so that he could get to my face better, then kissed me on the cheek. "You need to rest."
"But.. Mom-"
"Shhh. It's ok. She's fine."
"Ow.. My face.."
"Heh. You have a little slap mark, but it will go away."
"And.. my hands?"
"When you dropped the plates, they shattered.. and you fell into the broken glass.. None of them are bad at all though."
"And... you?" I smiled, and leaned up to kiss him.
"Nothing at all. I'm just amazing... now." He smiled then kissed me back, and then moved to my neck. I tried not to move. I didn't want him to stop, but he was tickling me.
"Tyler.."
He moved his head up and looked at me.
"Thank you."
He smiled, nodded, and kissed me some more. We cuddled, and kissed, and we eventually fell asleep together.
