People Change People

Chapter 4

A/N: Here's another chapter, sorry they're so short, I'm trying to get this story in the ground to get longer more eventful chapters, this is my first book so bear with me. Enjoy!

"What happened next?" Riley asked.

9 weeks earlier

        I woke up in Lucas's arms. All I could think was 'Oh my God! What happened last night!' I tried to keep myself under control. Lucas starts to wake up too. "Maya? Oh my God, Maya! What happened last night?" he asked it utter fear and confusion. "I'd like to forget whatever happened last night, we both forget it ever happened okay?" I said. "Okay, forget it. Maya, I need to go." he said getting his stuff. "Ok bye Lucas."

7 weeks later

        I've been throwing up a lot lately and I've eaten a lot more too. I don't know why, maybe in sick I shouldn't have anything to worry about, I'll be fine. Then, it hits me, my period is a week and a half late. I start hyperventilating and panicking. I decide there's really only one thing I can do. I sneak out my window and dart down the street two blocks until I hit a drugstore.

        I walk in really exhausted from the run down there, and start to get really scared. I walk down to the isle I need and just stare. In in the one place no one my age wants to be. The isle with the pregnancy tests, no 15 year olds dream of being here.

        My hands are shaking and I grab the two cheapest ones I see just to make sure and start heading to the counter. There is a man standing there. Has tall and has dark brown hair and has a lot of muscles. I avoid making I contact with him whatsoever. I place the tests on the counter and I can tell he gives me the look if you know what I mean. He rings them up after a few seconds and says "$6.49." I hand him 7 dollars and quickly and nervously say "Keep the change." and run out of the store.

        I run quickly all the way home and climb the fire escape to sneak back into my window. I go to the bathroom and take my phone out to use it as a timer. I get into the bathroom and read the instructions even though, I know what to do. I follow the instructions. I then set a timer for 5 minutes and just pace around the bathroom twinddling my thumbs and zoning out.

My timer goes off and makes me jump. I walk back to the sink to look...

"Positive" and "Positive"

Tears fill my eyes and I sit up against the bathroom wall and just cry for what seems like forever. The only thing that's running through my brain is 'what am I gonna do?'

I have to tell Riley.
