Chapter 8

A/N: Thanks so much for almost 200 reads, I'm currently kinda stuck on what to do, so the next few chapters after this one might kinda suck, as of right now, I'm enjoying this story and I'm trying to make it good, but this is my first story, anyway, enjoy this chapter!

Maya POV

After a long eventful trip to Texas all of us had finally returned home. I was really anxious about what I would do next. I was going to tell Topanga and probably Cory tomorrow. I was kinda nervous as to how they would react. I had to tell them though, I had to tell someone. I didn't have anything to do today because I knew I would want a day to cool down from the trip so I just decided to sleep.

*The Next Day*

I woke up feeling really good for the first time in a while. I hadn't slept that good for so long, I felt so refreshed. I got up, took a shower, brushed my teeth and hair and got ready to head to Riley's. I climbed out my window out onto the fire escape. I walked to Riley's which took about 5 minutes. "Peaches! You're here!" She said really excited. "I told mom and dad to make breakfast because we had something to discuss at breakfast, I did mention you were coming." She said. "Ok, it smells good." I said sniffing the air. "It should be almost ready, you wanna walk down there?" She asked. "Sure." I said as we headed downstairs. "Good morning Riley, hi Maya, how are you this morning? Topanga asked enthusiastically. "I'm pretty good. I am definitely hungry." I said. "Ok, it's ready now." She said as she placed the food on the table.

"Hi Maya, Riley said you had something to tell us." Cory said looking at me then putting some food in his mouth. "Yes, actually I do. I'm actually really scared to tell you, I'm not sure how you will react." I said nervously while shaking. "Maya, we are like your parents, you know you can tell us anything." He said. "Um..." I trailed off. "Maya just tell us." Topanga said. "I-I'm...pregnant." I said as my eyes started to fill with tears. "Maya..." Topanga trailed off. "How did this happen?" Cory asked. "And whose is it?" He asked sounding kinda nervous. "It's Lucas's." I said trying to stay calm. "Lucas, as in 'Lucas the Good', that Lucas?" Topanga asked. "Yes. That Lucas. Are you mad?" I asked kinda scared how they would answer. "Maya of course we aren't mad, are we shocked and a little disappointed, yes, but we will get over that because we know you'll need someone there to support you and be there for you." They said. "Thank you, I couldn't appreciate that more." I said with a smile on my face. "Now Maya, how did this happen?" Cory asked again since I didn't answer the first time. "Long story short, Lucas and I were dumb and things got out of hand."

"Maya." Cory said. "I know you're upset, but I had to tell someone." I said. "Actually, I'm really really scared to tell my mom and Shawn, I was hoping you guys could help me with that." I said looking at both of them. "Maya, of course we'll help you, you're like our family." Topanga said lovingly. "I was wondering if you could make me an appointment with the doctor, just to confirm." I said looking at Topanga. "Of course, Maya." We sat there and finished breakfast and they asked me questions about the baby.

"So Maya, what do you think you're going to do when the baby gets here?" Topanga asked. "Well, I want to talk to mine and Lucas's parents. I think I want to keep the baby, I am only 15, but I can't handle the thought of making someone else take care of my mistake. nor could I handle killing an innocent life. Lucas says he's going to be with me the whole time so, I'm really happy." I said with a smile on my face. "I'm really glad Lucas says he'll stay with you the whole time since it'll be his responsibility too." Cory said. "Me too." I said nodding. 

"Well, Maya, do you think it's a boy or a girl?" Riley asked. "I don't know, I guess girl because I've just always envisioned my self having a girl when I have kids." I said. "What do you think it is Riley?" I asked making her think. "I definitely think it's a boy, I'm not sure how it could be anything else." She said confident. "Well, I guess we'll see."
