Chapter 5:
He had silver hair, and blue eyes. I started into them, and he looked at me like he was disgusted with me. He was extremely tall, and had skin as black as night. I hissed at him, feeling, suddenly unsafe. He smiled at me, with his demon teeth, and said, "I'm Darkfire. The Book Keeper of the DarkSun."
"Okay? This isn't really ringing a bell so, I don't know. Tell me what the heck that is." I said crossing my arms.
"You are as arrogant as your reports says. I am Darkfire, that's a name. The Book Keeper, which indicated what you are, and who you are, and where you are, at all times. The DarkSun is what breed of Demon you are. Clear?"
"Crystal." I said with a sinister smile. He rolled his eyes, and dug into a pocket on his robe, pulled out a shiny thing, and held it in front of it.
"This is you." He said pointing to the star thing. I arched an eyebrow. "Not you, you. But your soul, if you had one. This thing right here is your life." I looked at it, and tilted my head. It was black, but it shined anyway. It looked like hundreds of penciled lines.
"Oh." I said at a loss for words. It looked so amazing. Like a new born baby. He held it out towards me, and I scooped it out of his hands.
It floated around in my hands, lighting my face with a dark light. It was warm, like it was laying in the suns rays for awhile. I jumped a bit, when it began to beat like it had a heart.
I looked at him, with stars in my blue eyes. This is amazing. He took it from me, and I felt the happiness fade, and as soon as he took it, he shoved it at my cheast.
When it hit me, it was like someone was branding me. I tried to push him away, but I couldn't feel my arms. I tried to kick but, I couldn't feel them either. He pulled away from me, an agonizing second later, leaving me with a burn that felt too much like a frost bite.
"It is finished. You have been accounted for. You are in The Book." With that, he disappeared, and the cage, and the pain faded along with him.
"My child!" Momma said, running to me. I felt her beaded hair in my face, and it made me feel better. She rubbed my arm, and kissed my forehead. "My child, I'm sorry. It's da only way for da Keepers to account for da people."
Reality started to slip away from me, and I thought I heard Dustin.

I opened my eyes, and saw Dustin staring at me. His blue eyes were huge with interest. I rubbed my eyes, and sat up. "Dustin?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He asked, smiling to see me up. He was in soccer clothes.
"Why are you here?" He smirked, and I rolled my eyes.
"You octually think your bro and Dad could scare me?" He said. I smiled, and then flinched when I rubbed my left arm. I looked down to at my arm, and saw the tattoo again, but it was glowing red.
"Ouch." I said poking it. Dustin laughed, and so did I. I looked at his shirt, and then at him questioningly.
"Whut?" He asked.
"Soccer game?" I asked. He nodded, and I froze.
"What's the date today?" I asked, panickly.
"Friday, the seventeenth. Wuy?" He asked.
"How long have I been out of it?" I asked trying to remember the day I passed out.
