Chapter 21

"What?" Yto's jaw literally dropped. He's staring at me with wide eyes, na para bang may isang hindi kapani paniwalang bagay ako na nasabi. Napasimangot ako nang tumayo siya at tinalikuran ako.

That's it? Wala manlang response? I was expecting him to say he's inlove with me too but all I received is this? Ano yung pinakita niya? Para saan pa ang relasyon namin kung tatalikuran niya ako?

I was just watching him lean his arms on the railings. Sumandal siya roon at kitang kita ko ang pagtaas at baba ng balikat niya. I stood up and walked towards him. Tumayo ako sa tabi niya at lalo akong napasimangot nang makaramdam ako ng kirot sa dibdib ko.

Paano ba naman kasi? When I stood beside him, bigla siyang lumayo na parang may nakakahawang sakit ako and here's another thing, ni hindi man lang niya ako sinusulyapan. He's just staring at nowhere.

"It took me days to have the guts to say that to you, tapos ganto reaksyon mo? Tsk," I shook my head and was about to walk away when he grabbed my arm. Hinapit niya ang bewang ko at inilapit ako sakanya. I just crossed my arms, looking away.

Nagtatampo ako, Yves. Suyuin mo ako.

"Is that true?" He said in a low voice.

I arched a brow. "What makes you think I'm lying?" My arms are still crossed against my chest, leaving a space between us.

"I love you," I stilled. Para bang napako ako sa kinatatayuan ko at unti unting bumagsak ang braso ko dahil sa sinabi niya.

I raised my gaze at him. My lips are parted because of shock. Napansin kong nagsimula nang dumilim at isa isang naglabasan ang mga bituin. I stared at his face, memorizing each and every part of his features.

"Do you mean it?" He asked.

"Mean what?"

"You said you're in love with me. Walang bawian, Viana. The moment you said those words, you became officially mine. Akin at akin lang." He dipped down and kissed the tip of my nose. "I hate sharing, Leveste. And I want you to know that I have no plans on setting you free. Are we clear?"

Rather than giving him a verbal response, I expressed my feelings by kissing him beneath the night sky, with the stars bearing witness to our declaration of love.

"YVES, stop na!" I laughed. We're on our way home. Nag drive thru muna kami at dahil mahaba ang linya ng mga sasakyan ay walang ginawa si Yto kundi kulitin ako.

He wouldn't stop tickling me. Ang harot harot niya ngayon.

His phone suddenly rang. Lumabas roon ang caller ID, it's Tito Yvo. Yto's forehead creased but he smiled at me and gave me a peck on my lips.

"I'll just answer this. I'm not yet done with you." Pabiro niya akong pinaningkitan ng mata bago sinagot ang tawag.

I averted my gaze to my right side. I was just casually looking outside the window when something caught my attention-- no, scratch that, it's someone. I'm not sure but I think it's a guy because of his body built. The guy is wearing a shirt underneath his black leather jacket. He's wearing a cap and a mask but I can see his eyes clearly.

"Gray..." Napaawang ang labi ko dahil pamilyar na pamilyar sa akin ang salitang binanggit ko. His eyes are gray, I'm sure of it.

In a blink of an eye, he's already gone. I might think I'm just seeing things or hallucinating but no. I saw the longing in his eyes if I'm not mistaken.

Ibinaba ko ang bintana at sinubukang luminga linga but there's no sign of him. There's something about that person that caught my interest. His stares are... somehow familiar and comforting.
