Day 26 - Bullseye!

REWARD CHALLENGE

UNIVERSAL POINT OF VIEW:

"Come on in Juntos!" Host Jeff Probst, yells out. Jeff bird-dog's as the castaway walk through the trees into an opening in the jungle.

For once, they aren't doing a challenge on the beach. When the contestant arrive in the large opening, they notice there is a wooden barricade, waist height. Behind that barricade, several metre's is a large target with ten different rings. one going around the outside and ten a small red dot in the middle

As the eight of them line up on the tribe mat, Jeff welcome's them

"How are we all this morning?" Jeff asks, to which everyone replies positively with an underlay of tiredness and fatigue

"First things first, Courtney, I'll take the necklace back" Jeff says, taking the necklace off Courtney and putting it on the podium

"Immunity, is back off for grabs" Jeff states, as everyone stares at it, imagining how great it would feel to have it around their necks

"In today's challenge, you will be situated behind this barricade. You will be using an old authentic machine gun, and shooting at the target which is ten metres away. Everyone will have a total of three shots, the person with the highest combined score will win, immunity" Jeff explains

"Kate, you won reward, did you bring the glass bottle with you?" Jeff asks

"I sure did" Kate smiles, taking the bottle out of her bag

"Kate, you need to smash the bottle open and read the note inside" Jeff instructs.

Kate looks around addlepatted, until she walks over to a tree and slams the bottle into the tree. In a matter on seconds the bottle smashes and all the fragments fall aimlessly onto the jungle floor. Kate picks up the note that has also fallen to the ground. She unrolls it and read's out loud

"You may swap any one of your scores with ten points" Kate reads, smiling wickedly

"Kate, if you are unhappy with anyone of the the points you hit, you may swap it with ten points. You can only use it once and you can't take it back once you've used it" Jeff instructs

"We'll draw for the order, let's get started" Jeff says

"Mora, is up first" Jeff says

Mora steps up and shoots a six. She is content with it
Kyle shoots a five, obviously under-estimating the challenge of using the gun
Leon calmly hits the seven point mark
Erika calmly and very uncertainly uses the gun. She scores a seven which she is very surprised with
Courtney gets a five. She is very disappointed
Harrison walks up knowledgeable, examining the angles. He sits an eight, which is is happy with
Kate sort of clueless works the gun, scoring a six. She hesitates whether or not to use her reward, she passes this opportunity
Bennett lines the gun up and scores an eight, which he throws his fist in the air

Mora walks up for her second shot. She concentrates a lot more this time, hitting an eight

Kyle shakes his head as he walk up. He tries to line the gun up smartly but misses completely hitting a four

Leon looks through the aim, takes his time before hitting a nine. He nods, very happy about that hit

Erika shakes her head confused by the gun's oporation's. She doubts herself, as she shoots an eight

"That is a complete fluke, I swear" Erika admits

Courtney really focuses this shot, she knows she needs to do well in this challenge or else she is in trouble. She hits a six, better then her last shot, but not completely satisfied

Harrison takes the same strategy as last time. Taking forever to line it up and once again scores an eight

Kate walks up and tries to aim it like everyone else does. She doesn't exactly know what she is looking for when aiming a gun, she just assumes to get it as close as possible to the middle so she shoots, and hits a five

"Yea, I'm going to use that advantage now" Kate says, repulsed by he last shot

"Kate swaps her five with a ten" Jeff says, "that advantage is now out of use and cannot be taken back"

Bennett looks very focused as he lines the gun up. He shoots the gun hitting the seven

Mora really tries for her last shot. The one thing she has really taken serious for twenty six days. She hits a seven. Her final score being 21

Kyle has really given up hope. He figured he could win with a ten but the chances of that are slim. Instead, he hits a two. Final score is 9

Leon looks very focused. Outside of the game, he hunts and uses a gun very regularly. It's his challenge to lose. Rising above his expectations, Leon his a ten. Everyone gasp, astounded. Leon cheers, excited with his score. Final score is 26

Erika hopes for another lucky fluke as she walks up for her final time. Unfortunately this challenge also require's skill and she hits a three. Her final score is 18

Courtney knows she really has no chance, but she wants to try her hardest for what is most likely to be her last challenge. She tries hard, but hits a four. She walks away devastated and upset. Final score being 15

Harrison has got to get a ten to at least tie with Leon. They had all thought Harrison had taken a long time with the last two shots, this time he took longer, preparing with extreme preparation. As he lines up, he release's the trigger, scoring an right. Final score is 24

"Harrison misses out on the win by two points" Jeff says. Harrison shakes his head furiously, but gives Leon and encouraging pat on the back as the good sport he is]

As Kate steps up to take her shot, her heart beat's fast

"Kate, you are in the same boat Harrison was in, you need a ten if you even want to tie with Harrison" Jeff announces. Leon certainly raised a high standard

She focuses attentively at her gun. She goes with her gut as she shoots the bullet into the seven point mark.

"God dammit!" she yells, furiously

"Kate, three points off the win" Jeff announces. Her final score is 23

"Bennett" Jeff starts, as Bennett walks up to take his shot, "you cannot win with the score you have. Even if you get a ten, you won't make it"

Bennett slouches his body and look down annoyed.

"Therefore, Leon win's immunity" Jeff calls

Leon jumps pumping his fist. He hugs Harrison and Kyle before walking up to Jeff to receive his immunity necklace

"Leon, is safe at tonight's Tribal Council" Jeff says, placing the necklace around his neck. Leon lifts it to his mouth and kisses it. "As for the rest of you, one of you will be going home. I'll give you the rest of the afternoon to decide who it is"

Leon rejoins the group, extremely happy. He tries to be humble and not rub it in their faces, but he is so happy it may come off that way.

Courtney knows she is in trouble. She says nothing the entire way back to camp, only thinks. She thinks about how she can turn the sword on someone in this alliance. How she can stay around for three more days. But all hope almost seems lost, she just needs the right pitch and three more days are granted.
