UNIVERSAL POINT OF VIEW:
"Come on in Belau!" calls the voice of host, Jeff Probst
One by one, the six castaway file in to the Tribal Council area. They all place down there torches and take a seat surrounding the fire. Jeff smiles and they all smile either excitedly, nervously or calm back at him.
"Alright, everyone welcome!" Jeff greets, "lets start from the start, tribe swap "
Jeff smiles whereas everyone remains still. Already eyes darting at each other.
"Kyle, how is the new tribe?" asks Jeff
"Surprisingly great, Jeff. I thought it was going to be awkward and not fun, but we all grown quite close and we all have a respect for each other. We are really unified and I think we are a great team" Kyle says, smiling at his tribe.
"It must be a shame then, that you have to vote someone out then" Jeff says
"You wouldn't even believe it" Kyle inhales dramatically
"Ricki, you were the only person to score from your tribe in todays challenge, do you think everyone was putting in an equal effort?" Jeff questions
"Oh totally, everyone was showing fantastic strength and physicality, I just think the other tribe had more brawn over us" Ricki replies
"You all seem very close and friendly, but one of you has to go tonight. Has there been confrontation or anything unfriendly, Leon?" asks Jeff
"Well, no. I think we are all trying to ignore the fact one of us is going to have hurt feelings, so we are trying to make it as unanimous as possible" Leon answers
"Where do old tribal lines stand Courtney? There is a perfect split of three ex-Belau and three ex-Malakal members, will that play into tonights vote?" quieries Jeff
"I think so and I also don't think so. Some people have felt more comfortable around people from their old tribes and therefor have more trust in them, but others have settled differently. So in a way they are there, but the old tribes were quite fractured anyway, and some of the tension has carried over into this tribe. You just have to choose to ignore it or hold onto to that grudge"
"Is this vote pretty straight forward then, if you are all so close, Harrison?" questions Jeff
"Oh definitely not. None of us want to be the one their friends turn on in that metaphorical life or death situation" Harrison chuckles, "but there is lots of talk about tonight's vote and it is very unsettling"
"What has all the talk been about?" Jeff asks
"Well, if we vote someone out according to their lack of physicality, or to get out a strategic threat" Harrison states
Courtney and Ricki pull very worried faces.
"Courtney, what do you base you vote on?" wonders Jeff
"I am voting to benefit the tribe. We need the strongest tribe possible in challenges, and we need a unified tribe if merge is coming up" tells Courtney
"Lindsay, there has been lots of talk saying we need to get rid of the weak link. Do you agree?" Jeff asks
"Well Jeff, I think I am pretty positive in assuming I am the weak link everyone is talking about. But going into a merge soon, wouldn't people want weak people, especially when their loyal and open?" Lindsay shrugs
"So Ricki, Lindsay sits here claim everyone sees her as a weak link, but she has other attributes that out-weight her lack of physical strength. Do you agree with that statement?" Jeff prods further
"No offence Lindsay, but she is the weakest on the tribe. But yes, she is loyal, no doubt. But is she loyal to me? That's the question" Ricki tells Jeff, bluntly
"Kyle, is this a black and white vote, get rid of the weak, keep the strong?" Jeff asks
"No, because there are threats on this tribe that probably aren't safe to keep around for a hell of a lot longer. But I'll tell you man, I am nervous. This vote has me stressing" Kyle says, hysterically.
"Well, it looks like there is a tough decision to make. With that, it is time to vote. Leon, your up first" Jeff says. Leon takes a huge breath before getting up and walking to the voting booth. Everyone else can't dare to look at anyone else.
***
Ricki sits down being the last person to vote.
"I'll tally the votes!" Jeff announces as he walks to the voting booth to collect the urn full of the parchment with the votes written on them
"Alright, once the votes are read, the decision is final, the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes" Jeff says, lifting the lid off the urn
Lindsays rubs her hands together, ridding of the sweat that covers them
Courtney and Ricki take big breaths, preparing for the worst
"First vote, Lindsay"
Lindsay looks down the line of people at Ricki. She looks back at the votes focused but scared
"Lindsay! That is two vote's Lindsay"
Lindsay's heart beats faster and faster as the seconds tick over
"Ricki! That's one vote Ricki, two votes Lindsay"
Ricki purses her lips. Everyone's heart rates extremely high now.
"Lindsay! That's three votes Lindsay, one vote Ricki"
Lindsay shakes her head, disappointed
"Sixth person voted out of Survivor: Palau... Lindsay. Lindsay that is four votes, that's enough. Bring me your torch and leave the Tribal Council area immediately" Jeff announces, as Lindsay angrily grabs her possesions and her torch. She walks past her old tribe mates and up to Jeff. She places her torch in the ground.
"Lindsay... the tribe has spoken" Jeff says, respectful
Jeff brings out the snuffer, and places it over the top of Lindsay glistening flame which is now mindless smoke floating aimlessly in the air.
Lindsay looks back at her tribe, shakes her head and walks away. Down the stairs and out of the Tribal Council area.
"Well, it looks like this tribe could make a unanimous decision in taking out who you all think was the weakest member. Only time will tell if you have made the right decision. Grab your stuff, head back to camp" Jeff instructs as Belau file out of the Tribal Council area. Ricki and Courtney smile, patting each other on the back. Everyone else, somber and a bit shaken up. At least there will be no awkwardness when they arrive back at camp.
The all walk out, a weight of their shoulders.
VOTES
LEON - LindsayI'm sorry, I just don't think your going to stay loyal after merge. Have fun!
HARRISON - Lindsay
Was a pleasure. I'm sorry it had to end this way.
KYLE - Lindsay
Tough decision, but I think your going to be bad news if you make it to the merge. Peace out!
LINDSAY - Ricki
You are way to scary in this game, especially with Courtney. One of you has to go, and you have more friends then Courtney
COURTNEY - Lindsay
If you were a little stronger and a little more trusting, your name wouldn't be written down today. I think your a nice person, but your not benefitting my game in any way. If anything, you will sabotage it.
RICKI - Lindsay
I think it is me or you tonight. There are more cons stacked up against you, so hopefully it's you not me. Bye!
LINDSAY'S EXIT MESSAGE
Well, well, well... they got me. I was pretty sure I was going tonight, I was getting wierd vibes. But I am happy with the way I played. I don't hold any grudges and I respect their decision, because I probably would have flipped on them so they made the right choice for their benefit. All my best wishes to Mora and the old Malakal crew. Do me proud!
