Mighty's Book of Oneshots 4

Cursetober 2 (CursedMonsterAU)

Author's Note: There's something that I've been doing lately. I keep making puns that combine the person and the monster they become. I really shouldn't do it, but it helps me figure out who is in the story. 

 I have two more Cursetober stories to do. One involving Stumpt and the other involving the Evolutionists.

Wilbur's POV:

 I rolled into a large pond outside of my home. My whole body was burning like hell as I gasped for breath. It was a horrible feeling: the feeling of being choked by the very air that I was always breathing. 

 Everything hurt as I deeply breathed in the water and it went out of the gills that had grown out of my neck. I shuddered and opened my eyes. 

 I blinked and fixed my coat with a frown. At least I got Xisuma to make it waterproof. I sighed causing bubble to flow up to the surface. My tail, which used to be my legs, swished as I crossed my arms and let out an annoyed growl when my very sharp teeth touched my bottom lip. 

 How the hell did this even happen? My ear fins twitched as I worked on swimming to the surface. I poked my head out from the water and looked around.

 A large creature started to come over the hill. If I remember right, the portal to the Dreamsmp was on the other side. My fins lowered as what looked like a noodle-like lizard appeared and breathed fire into the air. I flinched as the flames went high into the sky before dying out as the creature coughed out smoke before continuing to crawl towards me.

 I lowered myself deeper into the water until just the top of my head including my eyes were poking out of the water. The creature was breathing heavily as it dragged its body against the ground. I raised my eyebrow. The dragon-like creature didn't have back legs, and I don't think it knows how to fly yet. 

 My fins twitched as I watched the tan colored creature approach the water and stare down at me. I stared at it and blinked as smoke fumed from his nostrils, " Move..." he spoke in a groggy, scratchy voice as I nodded and swam to the other side of the pond. 

 The dragon stuck his muzzle into the water and lapped it up like a dog that's spent too much time outside. I tilted my head and poked my head fully out of the water. 

 " You alright?" I questioned as the dragon ignored me and continued to drink the water causing his eyes to close. I swam closer to the giant as his noodle-like body to wrap around his body as he laid down fully. 

 My tail twitched as I crossed my arms, " Ellllooo?" I questioned as the dragon's eyes slowly reopened and focused on me. The creature raised its head until its muzzle was faced towards me. I froze as the horn on the tip of its nose poked against my chin. 

 " Would you.... Would you shut up?" The dragon spoke with an annoyed tone. I let out a gasp, " Schlatt?!?" I threw my hands into the air causing water to splash onto the dragon's nose. The ram hybrid, now dragon, let out a small grumble with a roll of his eyes, " Yes, it's me..." he sighed as he moved away from the pond in order to rest his muzzle onto his claw. 

 I stared at him in shock as I swam to the edge of the pond and stuck my gills under the water in order to breathe again, " H-How did this happen to you?" I questioned as I motioned towards the dragon causing him to shrug.

 " I simply walked into this server in order to find you, " Schlatt pointed towards where the portal was, " but I suddenly started to feel dizzy and well...." the normally unnerved man shuddered and grimaced as his ears twitched, " this happened..." 

 The dragon moved his head down to look at me again. I moved back as he stared at me, " What happened to you though? What do you remember?" he tilted his large head slightly. I floated on my back as I recollected what happened.

 " I was trying to find Sparklez, but when I got to my house in this world I felt sick and began to choke." I told him as I rubbed at my chin. My tail raised up and gently sat on the water's surface, " That's when I fell into the water, and I guess I turned into this while I was falling? I... My memory's a tad bit fuzzy..." 

 The two of us let out a sigh until Schlatt let out a small grumble, " Where is Sparklez anyways?" he questioned as I shrugged, " No clue." I simply replied causing him to let out an annoyed growl. 

 " AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! " 

 I yelped and sunk into the water. My whole body was shaking as I shook my head and poked my head back above the water.

 " W-What the f-ck was that?!" I gasped as Schlatt sat up and narrowed his eyes. The ram-dragon narrowed his eyes as his ears flicked, " Fundy came through the portal..."

 " WHAT?!" My eyes widened as Schlatt looked down at me, " Fundy went through the portal.... He's doubled over in pain.." I motioned towards the portal, " T-Then go get him!" I told him as a strange glow wrapped around his eyes as he nodded and walked towards the portal. 

 A minute passed and my dragon friend returned with a screaming fox in his mouth. I stared nervously as Fundy was lowered to the ground close to me. I flinched as Fundy stopped screaming and started to gasp heavily. The fox hybrid's many tails started to glow as a wave of orange magic exploded. 

 " Fundy!" I called out causing him to sharply open his eyes; his whole body was shaking as he collapsed to the grass and wheezed. 

  " Fundy... I need you to look at me..." I told the fox in as calm as a voice as I could. The fox hybrid's ears twitched as he slowly turned his muzzle towards me; his pained, tired eyes stared at me, " W-Will?" he forced out. 

 I nodded my head, " Take a deep breath mate... It'll be over before you know it..." I spoke as calmly as possible causing the fox to slowly nod, " I-I...I was... I was my normal s-self Will..." he stuttered through his words as he scratched at his muzzle with his paw. 

 Fundy's eyes slowly closed as I frowned. I didn't know how to react as the fox with the many tails started to black out. My fins twitched as I shook my hand out and put my hand against the hair that was still of my friend's head. 

 The three of us remained silent until a beep came from my arm. 

 A message from the hermits, and it says to come to their shopping district for a meeting.

 It will take some doing, but I think that the three of us can make it. If we can make it, then we can figure out why and how this happened to us. I just hope that the hermits weren't as affected as we are. 

 If they are, then we're stuck in a real bloody mess.
