A. Trust Priam
The stranger held out his hand with a small smile plastered on his face. The next thing I knew, I'm already in his car and there's nothing I can hear but silence.
-
We just arrived. I am in awe because of what's served in front of us—a castle-like structure with walls made of bricks, a fountain emitting crystalline water, and an extensive garden that seems to be taken care of very well.
-
"Who was that guy who tried to attack me?" I asked.
He plainly answered, "His name is Lothaire." He continued walking but stopped midway when he saw people coming over.
-
"Let's get you to the infirmary, you've got bruises," saad ng babaeng nakasalubong namin na may malugod na ngiti, katabi ang isang lalaking napapalibutan ng mapanganib na enerhiya.
Tumango ako.
"I'm Ariela," pagpapakilala niya sa sarili. "And this is Jett."
My lips twitched a bit, trying to show a smile. "April," I plainly said in a low voice.
When we arrived in the infirmary, a woman wearing an algae-colored dress and a lady with necklaces dangling around her neck welcomed us.
"My name is Evergreen," she introduced herself before turning her head to the girl beside her.
"She's Luna. The two of us will take care of you."
-
As Priam left me in the care of the women, he excused himself to call someone.
I curiously eavesdropped, trying to catch the flow of the conversation. Little did I know, what I am going to hear surely will surprise me.
"He's back."
-
With ruptured veins, internal bleeding, and no external scratch made by a serial killer who's still unknown.
-
"Do you want a hand? I surely can lend you one." Priam presented himself to help me regarding the things I need—like answers to the questions I've looked for so long.
