A tragedy in the camp reported being one of the biggest unsolved cases in town. Five years later, as April regained her consciousness, some of the memories at the camp along with her sister had been taken away from her. When she goes back to the cri...

I am running through the hallway with my thesis drafts and reference books trying their best not to fall in my arms. I am late for my afternoon class and these crowded halls are not helping me catch it. The semester is ending, that's why everyone is busy trying to get their own lives together as I am.
And to make everything a lot worse, I bump into someone. My chunky books, and printed materials flew all over the place. I shot glance at her, and to my surprise— it was Melanie Aragon, the university's student council president.
"I'm sorry, I'm trying to catch my next class." I said sincerely, as I try to reach for my things that's now covered with shoe prints.
"How is that an excuse? Is your half a year vacation made you dumb? What excuse did you even tell the university to enroll you back in? Avery's death?" She mockingly said, as she laugh at me insultingly.
"Who do you think you are trying to dismiss?" She added, with words masked with annoyance. As she purposely stepped on my papers.
I stood up, fumed with anger.
She lifted her arms, and on her way to land a slap on my face. But I caught it half way, and tightened my grip on her pulse as she grunts painfully in response.
"Use those lips to say my sister's name again, and I'll stitch them together. If that mouth can't make the world better, shut it." I dropped her hands forcefully, making her almost fall on her feet.
We exchange piercing looks before she started to walk away.
"Are you okay?" Isabelle rushed her way towards me.
I nodded in response, and she helped me pick my things up. We walked together for a while before she take the stairs, Arcadian's headquarters are located at the lower floor.

My classes were over at 4PM so I decided to stop by the nearby coffee shop before heading home. The place was crowded again, with university students probably trying to lessen academic stress with a cup of coffee, the same reason I am here.
"Chai tea latte please, 170 degrees, extra whipped cream, with no sugar." I placed my order, and waited. I scan the place, and I know I wouldn't enjoy my coffee on a table alone.
This is definitely a hectic day.
It's been a few months since I came back at school from a vacation, that I couldn't remember going to. But my parents have a letter sent to the university admin of my absence from the time of my sister's death anniversary, but I really have no memory of going to some other place. I just woke up in my bed, on the day I am returning to school.
I had a long dream about another academies with castle-like infrastructures, but it wasn't an ordinary one because the students have some sort of powers. I haven't told anyone about it, but that dream felt like real that I could even feel it in my skin, and that I am part of it. That's really a vivid dream. I even seen myself having a power on my own. Strange.
My sister's murderer surrendered, though he was not placed behind bars since the authorities found out that he was a mentally ill. He was held on a psychiatric ward with maximum security. It was not what we expected, but at least there will be no more victims and my sister had her own justice. My sister's tragedy will always be a nightmare I couldn't wake up to, but I hope this keeps her at peace.
"Chai tea latte for Miss April?" I smiled at her as she hand me my order, I thank her and look for a seat.
I spotted a guy on a table, with a black coffee and blueberry cheesecake. I headed towards him.
"Hi, can I share a table with you?" I asked politely. He lifted his gaze and his green eyes met mine. I was confused, I think I've seen him before.
The sides of his lips curved, and he nodded.
"Priam," He gestured his hand for a handshake.
"April," I reached him, and we exchange smiles. His hands feels familiar, too.
"You look familiar, have we met? Do you study here?" I asked him.
"I'm not sure, but I am known to be memorable." He chuckles.
I don't even know him, but I feel safe here.
Looking back to what happened I accepted that this is my life, I might not know what the future holds— I would approached it head on. Maybe, still with fear and doubt but those wouldn't stop me from getting better and bigger than my realities from the past.
