The wind is howling around me. The leaves fall on my hair as the tree sways along with the rhythm of the wind. Colors flashing through my eyes as I look at the sky. I stretched my arm, trying to reach the moon and the stars with my bare hands. But as I tried reaching it, I realize how small I am and how immense this universe is.
My thoughts disappeared when I heard a rustling sound of leaves. I stand up weighing my movements. Thinking if I should just ignore it, or run back to the house.
"So you came for me." A man came out from the tree infront of me and scenes flashed in my mind making me remember who this guy is.
"Lothaire..."
"My name sounds nice coming from your mouth," he said giving me a lopsided grin.
"What do you need?" He steps closer to me and when I step back, I hit the cold trunk of the tree.
"Dead end." He put his arms on the trunk, near my face. He's not going to let me escape.
"Why is Priam helping you? Do you really think he saved you?" I frowned.
"Do you think I will believe you?"
"Why wouldn't you?" He remove his hands on my side and put it on his pockets.
I gasped loudly for breath. I felt like I stopped breathing for a quite long time. But I know he wouldn't let me go. He's not yet done messing up with my mind.
"Do you really believe Priam? Do you even know his true self? Is he really helping you or he's just covering up for something?" My mind went blank for a moment. Absorbing the words he had said. He let out a humorous laugh taunting me when he saw me getting messed up.
"Stop it. Stop messing with my mind."
I heard another rustling sound on my side and saw Priam walking near me. When I turn my eyes back to Lothaire. He's gone.
Curse him.
"April, it's late. Go inside already."
I looked at him. Inspecting his every movement. Did he saw me talking to Lothaire? But he looks calm. But what if he's just acting?
Now let me think about it. Priam is a great help. He's helping me everytime but do I really know him? And what if Lothaire's right? That he's just covering up for something. Perhaps, the incident that happened years ago?
What if he's not really my ally? He's Priam. He's cunning, secretive, I don't know what's running on his mind. I don't know a lot about him. Is he decieving me?
I don't know what side to choose anymore.
"What's wrong?"
I shook my head and forced a smile. "Nothing. I'm just tired."
