"You taught me to be," I saw him smiled, and I jumped out starting to scan the area.
Every time I'm on a mission, I can't still believe of what I have become. It wasn't even that long when I accepted the offer from UBSL, and a lot already happened. I excelled greatly in a short period of time maybe due to the nature of my charm, but everyone was worried of me thinking I might be overworking myself because of the things I learned months ago. They also find out that my sister is also a charm bearer, and she's the cause of Lothaire's silence for the past years. And, it's making me proud, that despite her demise she saved more people from another tragic.
Priam is currently on his laptop, trying to pin the exact location of our target. We are on far secluded area that's why our data were delayed. He was on my side since day one, and he's still trying to take care of me even if it was not obligation to do so.
His eyes were pinned on the screen, trying to figuring out where our guy was hiding. After a few moments, it started to beep vigorously. Priam shifted his eyes on me, covered with horror.
"April, behind you!"
A hair-like loop was getting in my head and I instinctively reach for my melee and cut it before it went down to my neck and chop it off my body. I successfully get away, but the thread I cut touched my cheek, and now the blood is dripping.
Our target jumped from one tree to another, looks like someone wants to play tag.
"You should be extra careful with that face," I dismissed his remarks, trying to hide my strawberry cheeks.
"You talk too much, now our target get away again,"
"You can't even get away from me, you think he could?" His chuckles filled the area, and his confidence getting in my nerves.
I activated my boots to enhance my speed, and left Priam there with his annoying confidence.
"I just told you that you can't get away," He caught up on me, and started running too.
This will be my life from now on, I might not know what the future holds— I would approached it head on. Maybe, still with fear and doubt but those wouldn't stop me from getting better and bigger than my realities from the past.
