At the Southern Air temple

The trio arrived at the Southern Air temple.

The tardis landed near the bottom of the Southern air temple because they couldn't actually land there.

The trio got out of the tardis hiking up a trail to the temple.

Aang started first jogging up the trail leaving sort of Katara and sokka behind.

"So where do I get somethihng to eat?" asked Sokka holding his stomach.

"You're lucky enough to be one of the very first outsiders to ever visit an Airbender Temple but all you can think is about food???" Katara said irritated.

"Hey I'm just a simple guy with simple needs." Sokka said as they were still walking up.

The two managed to catch up to Aang now who was standing over watching something.

'So that's where my friends and I would play airball." Aang points at the stadium consisting of many tall poles.

"And over there is where the bison would sleep." Aangthis time pointing at the bare square floor.

"And..." Aang sighs and gets a saddened look on his face.

Aang looks at what used to be a beautiful place where there was full of peace and living now just a deserted place what remains left of it.

"What's wrong?" Katara asked.

"This place used to full of monks and lemurs and bison. Now there's just a bunch of weeds." Aang replied all downcast.

"I can't believe how much things have changed."

Katara and Sokka give each other looks of sympathy.

It was awkward and silent for a little bit before Sokka went up to him and speaking up, "So, Uh, this airball game. How do you play?" He asked trying to cheer him up.

Katara then turned to look at her brother smiling and Aang's face clearing up.

He smiles also, as looked at Sokka from the corner of his eyes.

Then it took place as Sokka was concentrated on Aang while he stood on a pole, guarding his goal of the airball court. Aang stood on the other side of the court on a pole, suspending a hollow wooden ball floating in the air with his airbending. He let the ball roll onto over his shoulders, then tossing it from side to side and lazily tossed it up in the air. He then looked at Sokka smiling an innocent smile with his hands behind his back.

Sokka looked up all surprised from the upward movement of the ball in the air. the air bender jumped up to kick the ball away with a powerful air swipe. The ball rapidly shot across the poles, changing in every direction as it crashed into some several poles. Then the ball steadily moved over over closer towards Sokka's goal.

The ball then swiftly raced towards Sokka, who opens his mouth in shock. He grunted as the ball hit him right in the stomach. The force of the impact sent Sokka crashing into the snow behind the goal.

Aang laughed in as he jumped up in joy. he held his hand up above his eyes to make out where sokka had landed.

Aaang smiled broadly stretching his arm out above his head. "Aang, Seven!" He forms a Zero with his hands making then a circular movement with his entire body, "Sokka, ZERO!"

Sokka who was lying now in the dirt got up with a twig stuck on his head looking miserable.

"Making him feel better is putting me in a world of hurt." Sokka said whimpering.

Aang ran over to Sokka who helped him get up. "The Game was fun, good game Sokka, but I think we should stop now."

"You telling me." Sokka still whimpering.

'We have a whole temple to see!"

The trio hiked up some more making it to a courtyard that had a fountain in the middle.

Aang first ran up ahead excitedly.

Katara and Sokka were at the entrance of the courtyards talking.

"Katara I'm getting a feeling that firebenders were here." Sokka said.

"What how would you know that, Aang would be devastated to hear that his home got invadedby them." Katara said walking past him into the courtyard.

"I don't know I have a feeling that they were." Sokka replied following behind Katara.

"HEY, GUYS, I want you to meet somebody!" Aang shouted pointing at a statue of a Monk.

"Who's that?" Sokka asked.

Monk Gyatso, the greatest airbender in the world and my friend." Aang said

He looked at the statue smiling. he turned around showing with a hand, "He taught me everything I know." Aang then turned back bowing at Monk Gyatso's Statue.

He then stopped bowing looking at his statue with now a sad expression with tears on the verge of falling down.

He then quickly wiped his tears with his arm shaking his head at the thought of something.

Katara walked up to him putting her hand on his shoulder.

"You must miss him dearly." Katara said.

"Yeah." Aang replied.

Aang walked forward leaving Katara's grasp walking tothe stairs behind the statue.

"Where are you going?" Katara asked curiously.

"The Air temple sanctuary, there's someone I need to meet." Aang replies walking up the set of stairs entering a hallway.

Katara questioningly glimpsed back at Sokka who shrugged as they started to follow Aang.
