🔴 WARNING: SLIGHT ANXIETY 🔴

Monokiku:
"You all seem a bit shaken after that last announcement."

Monokiku slowly strode into the room with a face of worry. Maigo was still in shock, fearful for his life, and the others were not too far behind.

Monokiku:
"It is getting rather late. How about we have a good night's sleep and think about this tomorrow? The dorms are at the end of the corridor on the left."

The students, myself included, all exchanged glances, some filed out of the room in deathly silence. I left with them, hoping that I could help take care of Maigo, who was also in that group.

Bukiyōya Hito (talking to Maigo Impeishin):
"Hey, Maigo? Do you think that you'll be okay by yourself? You still look pretty disheartened after what happened."

He didn't respond and continued walking down the hall.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"Look, if you need to talk to anyone, I'll always be here!"

Still, even after that comment, he didn't respond.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"Hey, come on. Everything's gonna be alright! Just count on us. If you want to kill anyone to get out, tell me. I'll help you stop thinking about it."

He stopped dead in his tracks and turned to face me, tears rolling past his nose and down his cheeks. His hair, a light lemonade pink, usually curled beside his ears, strapped itself firmly to his forehead. His eyes became more and more glassy, tears welling up inside them before pouring out.

Maigo Impeishin (talking to Bukiyōya Hito):
"This might not mean s-so much, especially coming from me... But t-thank you! T-T-Thank you so much!"

He wrapped his thin arms around me, startled slightly. He was rather short, I had realised, the top of his head merely reaching my shoulders. I hugged him back and patted him on the head.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"See! All better! If you want to talk about anything in private, feel free to do so."

We broke out of the hug soon after that.

Bukiyōya Hito (thinking...):
He smiled. He smiled so wide that day. He's going to be okay, I just know it.

Maigo ran off to his room, just next to us and locked the door. My room was opposite his, a nameplate signalling this was mine. I opened, entered, closed and locked the door.

The room was quite empty. Just a bed, a study desk, a bookshelf and a door, of which I assumed to be my private restroom away from the main one. I collapsed on my bed and drifted off after about five or so minutes.

I must have only been asleep for a few minutes before I heard a knock at the door. Cautiously, I turned the knob and saw him standing there.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"Maigo?"

My tired eyes could just about make out the tiny figure that was Maigo Impeishin.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"What are you doing up so late? You're supposed to be in bed, no?"

Maigo Impeishin:
"I-I had a nightmare. I was so scared and just came here."

Bukiyōya Hito:
"Okay, tell me all about it. I will make sure that it doesn't come true, alright?"

Maigo Impeishin:
"Y-Yume... Yume Sutoringu threatened to kill me... She's so sweet! I couldn't even fathom the idea!"

Bukiyōya Hito:
"If you know anything else, you're going to have to tell me. If this in fact happens, I will need to know how to protect you."

Maigo Impeishin:
"I was sitting down by the exit and she just appeared out of nowhere and stabbed me!"

He burst into tears once again.

Bukiyōya Hito (thinking...):
Damn, this guy is fragile. Just the more reason to protect him from this.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"If you want to stay in my room tonight, I'm fine with it. I know how horrible this must be to experience."

He looked up at me with that teary grin again.

Maigo Impeishin:
"Oh...okay. Sure..."

And with that, I handed him a large pillow and walked him over to the bed.

Bukiyōya Hito:
"Even though we're both guys, I still feel uncomfortable sleeping with others. I'll be at the desk. Hug the pillow for now."

I sat down in the chair, drifting off to sleep once again.

I woke up the next morning in the office chair, slightly drowsy. Maigo was still sound sleep in my bed, peacefully hugging the pillow I gave him. I decided to look inside the restroom since I did not look the previous day. I, once again, turned the doorknob and...
CRASH!
I slipped and fell onto the tiled floor. Luckily, Maigo was still asleep. When I looked up, I saw a sink, toilet, shower and towel rack, already stocked to the brim with towels. I promptly got to my feet, which stung a great amount and locked the door from the inside. I took a quick shower, dressed and left, now prepared to leave.

When I left the restroom, Maigo was only just rubbing the tiredness out of his eyes.

Maigo Impeishin:
"Buki... You're awake already..."

Bukiyōya Hito:
"M-hm! Good to see you're up now!"

Maigo Impeishin:
"I-I guess..."

Bukiyōya Hito:
"I'll be waiting for you outside the door. Come out whenever!"

Eventually, he came out and said he had some business to attend to... or something like that.
