I walked towards the Gym to get breakfast and sat down at the nearest table I could find. Tetsudzuki was already there, scanning her way through a book with a rather mysterious, black cover. I reached out to touch her shoulder for a brief moment to get her attention.
Bukiyōya Hito: "Tetsudzuki?"
She jumped slightly and turned to face me, her face as annoyed as ever.
Tetsudzuki Genkaku: "Don't scare me like that! Can't you see I'm busy?"
Bukiyōya Hito: "Oh, uh, sorry about that... I was just wondering what you were reading. Where did you even find it?"
Tetsudzuki Genkaku: "Past the dormitories, there is a library, which is merged with an archive of information about the students attending the school this year. This book contains a carbon copy of the forms we sent in to attend Danganronpa. By chance, do you want to see yours'?"
She flicked through the pages until she uncovered one titled 'Bukiyōya Hito' with an excessive amount of information.
Name: Bukiyōya Hito Age: 17 years old Preferred Talent: Ultimate Klutz Please note that we can change the talent provided in the form in our official document. Reason for attending Hope's Peak: "I want to show them what I can do. If I win this killing game as a klutz, they will finally respect me. They'll see that you don't need to have a respectable or memorable talent to win, like a detective or lucky student."
Terms and Conditions: You will participate full-time in Danganronpa and will not return home until the game ends. Any talents which can either be easily acquired or faked will instead be 'activated'. For example, the SHSL @sshole will only start being unconditionally rude to their peers when their talent is activated. Team Danganronpa chooses when that occurs. When a member of the party is murdered, the killer becomes the 'blackened'. A while after the murder, a class trial to discover the murderer will begin. If the party successfully identifies the blackened, they will be eliminated from the group. If they guess incorrectly, however, whoever the party chose as guilty will receive punishment, even if they are completely innocent, and the game continues as usual. When only one person in the surviving party remains, they will have to guess who the mastermind of the whole killing game is. If they guess correctly, they leave. If not, they are executed.

She gestured her hand toward my signature, tracing it with her index finger.

Tetsudzuki Genkaku: "Now, that's all fine and dandy. But did you bother reading the fine print?"
Bukiyōya Hito: "I-I... Uhm... Yes! It says that the winner gets to graduate!"
Tetsudzuki Genkaku: "And how do you win?"
Bukiyōya Hito: "Y-You kill someone and get away with it, right..?"
Tetsudzuki Genkaku: "That's where you're wrong. They changed the rules for this game. Always read the fine print, Bukiyōya! That's how you make unnecessary promises to companies trying to steal your money, or in this case, your life."
I directed my eyes back to the Terms and Conditions, immediately shocked at what I read.
Bukiyōya Hito: "If they guess incorrectly, however, whoever the party chooses as guilty will receive punishment, even if they are completely innocent, and the game continues as usual. So, that means that we can vote off an innocent person and have them killed?! And-- and that means that the game will continue whether the person wins or loses..!"
Tetsudzuki Genkaku: "That's exactly my point. That's why you need to pay attention and avoid activating your klutz! Unlike the rest of us, you have a joke talent, one that can be easily acquired or even faked. In this killing game, it will be activated and you will start tripping over your own feet!"
