Danganronpa: Misinterpreted Lies and Empty Promises (ON HIATUS)

Chapter 1 (Part 4) - Listen Up!

The doors to the Gym swung open, crashing into the walls on each side. It was at that moment that Chikyū burst into the room, some others promptly following her, close behind.

Chikyū Chōsa:
"Alright! Listen up!"

I turned my head slightly, noticing Tetsudzuki lifting her head from the documents, clearly annoyed.

Tetsudzuki Genkaku:
"What do you want? I was trying to present some important information to Bukiyōya."

The rest of the group was clear by now. In order as they came through the doors, Shīrudo, Saki, Kōzō, Sukina, Maigo, Yume and Wakusei.

Yume Sutoringu:
"Chikyū thinks that she's found the answer!"

Chikyū swiftly spun her head around, sweating.

Chikyū Chōsa:
"Don't bet on it though! It's just an idea..."

Tetsudzuki Genkaku:
"Just get to the point. What is it?"

She whipped her head back towards us and proceeded to state her idea.

Chikyū Chōsa:
"Later today, 12 midday sharp, we are having a class discussion, okay? I need everyone here. So if you can get anyone not in the room at the moment to go there, that would be great!"

Bukiyōya Hito:
"What's that going to do, though? I hope you're not planning mass murder on all of us!"

Chikyū Chōsa:
"Of course not! I would never do such a thing! I just thought that if we grouped, it would be harder for a murder to occur. We're also moving in groups of twos or fours from now on."

For just a moment, a brief silence scattered across the room, immediately filled by a confused voice from behind our supposed leader.

Kōzō Hato:
"Sorry to be that guy, but... Why are we in groups of four? I understand that we shouldn't go alone, but why not threes?"

Chikyū Chōsa:
"As you are probably thinking, pairs would mean that the murderer could easily kill the victim in seclusion. From previously decided pairs, we can deduce the killer. In fours, we can do the same if a double kill happens. If we are in threes, we are never too sure who did the killing, therefore meaning that we could never deduce the blackened and may vote off an innocent who just wandered astray."

Tetsudzuki Genkaku:
"So what you're saying is... if we cannot move around the school in a group, we go in groups of four or in pairs. I don't think that you realise that one or two people going alone is alright, just as long as we monitor the rest of us."

Chikyū Chōsa:
"I guess so... one person can go by themselves, one person can either go with them or take responsibility for Monokuma, as well as calling Monokiku if help is needed."

At this point, I was starting to feel more comfortable with the rest of my classmates, so I went back to my room, set an alarm for 11:45 and slept. It felt like an eternity, forced into so little a place and made to kill each other. We would never do such a thing.
