I look at the road with blinking streetlights,
A sight that seems to resemble my life
The eerie silence that the lonely night bore,
is as calm as seawaves hitting the shore
I lift up my chin and watch the velvety sky,
A breathtaking view reflecting on my eyes
I feel the midnight wind hit on my face,
As I realise I've begun to stargaze
I notice the moon hid amidst the fluffy clouds,
the one who truly understands me behind the shroud
It knows my secrets, my darkest sins and deepest fears,
The one who witnessed my naked heart and my cheeks stained with tears
The moon doesn't speak to me through words,
We converse in a way only I could hear
My glistening irises gawk at the stars' reflection,
Making me realize I'm one of the stars in its constellation
I watch the wheels roll with a soulless sight,
As it takes me back to my muffled cries
I spend the nights alone, but I'm not so lonely,
Because I have the calm moonlight assuring it would hold me
I stare at a sight that's enough to pull me,
In a magical trance as it rocks me to sleep slowly.
