She walked in with the aura of moondust spread around,
Every word that left her pretty lips were sure to leave them spellbound,
She was a true moon child, in the dark that she used to wander,
Spreading warmth and light to everyone present around her,
Every inch of her pleasant, rosy face, fresh as morning dew,
Eyes that carried a galaxy in her glistening irises that shone through,
She had the twinkling stars tucked away in her deep brown cascade,
A mind deep as the ocean, filled with memories that never seemed to fade,
She was the eternal rainbow that was too difficult to find,
But she never knew, for the rest were colourblind,
She chased after someone, a someone whom she thought she must be,
Listening to the blind, she forgot she had a different soul, one 10 ft buried deep,
She bore white feathery wings with a halo on top of her crown,
The mirror she looked at was fogged with insecurities making her frown,
She deserved to show her pearly teeth on display for eternity,
Her, a woman filled with utter mystery and true curiosity,
She kept pouring on and on until she had none left for her ; it wasn't fair,
She thought she wasn't enough, but the fact being she was too much for them to bear,
She was worth being chosen a million times over and over,
Not to be solely considered for the sake of being lonely and sober,
She assured the rest they were diamonds in the  rough,
Not knowing that only a true diamond would know its own worth,
She wanted to love them like no one did,
She wanted to be there for them when no one did,
She wanted to wipe away their salty tears,
She wanted to be a soldier fighting against their fears,
She wanted to keep telling them everything would be alright,
She wanted to guarantee that they all deserved a future so bright,
But in the midst of being there for others, she lost sight of herself,
She forgot to do all these for thyself.
