Dillauded trauma

the trip

After you and spencer had been back at work for a week, you start to realize that spencer has been showing more signs of headaches and having trouble focusing. You decide to tell hotch. "I agree Y/L/N, why don't I give you and spencer a week off, take him on a trip somewhere special. You both need it. Maybe that will help you rejog his memory about you." Hotch says to you as he looks up from his desk.

You agree happily and cannot wait to start planning your trip with spencer! It will be the first time you will have him alone. You walk as fast as you can back to your desk which is right across from spencer's. you get his attention when you tap him on the shoulder. "hey, I wanted to know if you wanted to go on a trip to California with me. Hotch approved it. Maybe this trip will help you remember me." You say happily.

He looks back to you surprised but you can see he happiness in his face. "yes, I would love that! I really need a break from work, my head has been killing me." You are so relieved he is happy.

The next day, spencer comes to pick you up at your apartment because you still can't drive because of your foot. On the way to the airport, spencer asks, "what happened to your foot, you still haven't told me."

"well I was hoping that you would remember by yourself but i guess I can tell you. I was kidnapped around a month ago. The unsub kidnapped me to get to you because we had grown close. She broke my leg to get you to her. But you made it in time before she shot me and you were able the slow down the bleeding. You saved my life actually." You say as you look away from spencer to look out the window. You can sense him looking at you, but he doesn't try to talk to you, he just keeps driving.

When you arrive at the airport, spencer parks and walks around the car to open your door for you. You were going to be on the trip for only a week so you each only had one suitcase. After checking through security and everything, you settled into some seats by the gate to your plane. The plane ride was about 5 hours so you both went to the bathroom and got some walking in before you had to sit.

After about 30 minutes of waiting, the plane finally starts to load. You are both in economy because you didn't want to use the BAU's money for some fancy seats on a plane. When the plane takes off, spencer falls asleep almost immediately. You are kind of surprised but then you realize, he must not have been sleeping well after almost dying from and overdose.

When the plane finally lands, you shake spencer to wake him up. He wakes up suddenly and looks at you. "Y/N? what are we doing on a plane? This isn't the team's plane. Wait, what happened? I thought I was in the hospital. Im so confused." He looks at you with a questioning look on his face. You look at him hopefully. "do you remember me?" you say. "yeah, why wouldn't you, you're the love of my life!" he says happily but a little confused.

You look at him and you jump to hug him, "oh my gosh your back! I thought I had lost you forever!"
