Dillauded trauma

Reunited

When you wake up again, your whole body hurts so much that you just want to back to sleep so it won't hurt, but you realize you have guests. You look over the couch where you see spencer sleeping which you knew would happen sometime. You also realize that he has a bright red cast on his arm. The rest of the team was at the door talking to the doctor.

You move a little bit to get comfortable but that alerts the doctor, he looks over to you and smiles. The whole team follows. Everyone comes rushing toward you and crowds around you bed. You see Morgan go and shake spencer awake. He sits ups so fast that he holds his arm because he moved it to fast.

Spencer looks over to you and he smiles so wide that you think his smile might fall off his face. You laugh but you wince at the pain that is caused you. "oh, please don't hurt yourself again. We can't take another disaster." Hotch says as he walks over and rubs your shoulder. You try to talk but you realize your mouth is wired shut.

You frown and bring your hand up to your face to feel the wire. spencer looks at you with sorry eyes, "I'm so sorry, when charlotte hit you multiple times in the face, she broke your jaw. But since you have been asleep so long, the wire should come off any day now." You look around at the rest of your team and try to smile. But it just turns into a weird side grin. Everyone starts to laugh. Even J.J. and she is crying.

The doctor comes in a couple hours later and tells everyone that you can get your metal cage in your mouth removed. He makes everyone leave the room except spencer. Only because he would not leave. The doctor takes out a pair of wire cutters and you are scared for a moment but realize that you need these wires off.

When all of the wires are off, you open your mouth a little, but you stop and cry out in pain. Spencer runs over to you and holds your hand so you can squeeze it. "yeah, it will hurt for a couple of days, just be ready for that." The doctor says.

When the doctor leaves you ask spencer through your teeth, "what all happened to me, I feel like my body fell apart and you tried to put it back together." Spencer just bursts out laughing. You want to laugh but you know the pain will stop you.

"well, if you don't remember, charlotte shot you right before she died. She shot you in the stomach just missing your organs. You almost bled out in my arms, but the medics got there just in time. They took you to the closest hospital in California. You were in surgery for almost 15 hours. It was painful for all of us, but mostly me, I did not know what I was going to do without you there with me. Anyway, after your surgery, you were put on life support and flown back to Virginia with the team. When we got to the hospital, they put you into your own room. Two days later, you started breathing on your own with no machines. You were then in a coma for the past 7 days. Besides the gunshot wound, you broke 2 ribs, had some internal bleeding and a minor concussion. But your leg has healed nicely, and you won't have to wear the boot anymore"

"ok, that makes sense, but what happened to you? I know you didn't just heal up overnight." You say to spencer as you rub his hand. " yeah well when we came to the hospital, I just had to get my arm reset, and my nose reset and I had to stay overnight a couple of nights, but I spent those nights in here with you."

you realize your team had walked in while you were listening to spencer. You had not even realized at first that you were crying until spencer reaches down to wipe your tear away. Almost your whole team was crying, besides hotch, but you could tell his eyes were watering. You then realized that these are the people you want to spend the rest of your life with.
