Rejuvenation

Chapter 2

Falos hadn't done much of anything since talking to Lilith almost a month ago. Really, all he had done was sit around watching the people go on about their days. He was beginning to get bored but the ball was only a day or so away. All he had to do was wait. Falos decided to go into town and check on the locals, they respected him sure but he outright

scared more than half of them. He didn't care much though he'd never do anything to hurt an innocent person. Now a guilty person would always be ripe for punishment. As he continued to ponder things in his mind Falos heard screams coming from is left and he immediately ran toward them. There was a fire in town, not that it really mattered to Falos, he could have it out within seconds with Micah's help so he whistled sharply and the dragon sprung from the bay and flew toward him. Falos gestured toward the fire and Micah's eyes began to glow a deep blue as he shot water into the flames they immediately went out and everyone began to cheer.

"Was there anyone inside the building"? Falos asked. Everyone looked at him puzzled because they really had no clue, so he rushed inside to make sure. He walked around the house and through the kitchen and heard nothing. As he made his way to the main living area he heard faint sobs coming from the closet. Falos opened it slowly as to not scare whoever was inside. "I'm here to help you, come on your safe". It was a boy no older than six or seven. The child jumped up and pushed past Falos in a hurry. Falos smiled and walked on behind the child, "some things will never change" he thought. As he came outside he saw Lilith making sure everyone was okay and handing out medicine to the child that had been trapped.

" Well, you got here quick Falos". She said looking over her shoulder at him.

" I was in town walking and heard screams so Micah and I rushed to help. The dragon yelped happily and stomped the ground twice to show he was victorious. "I'll feed you later Micah, anyway what're you doing here Lilith I thought you were still planning the ball"? She turned to him finally after the child had taken the medicine and she had assured nothing had been broken.

" Well you're not the only person with ears you know and the ball is set and all the invitations are out, this ball is going to be like no other." Falos gaze passed her toward the large pale green castle his friend resided in. It was covered in leaves and vines and he really didn't understand why she didn't just take them off but since he didn't live there he couldn't say anything about it. "Hey, are you even listening"! Lilith was staring at him angrily

"No, because you started one of your ramblings again".

Her eyes began to glow green and his a deep blue, they stared at each other for about ten seconds before she caved and disregarded the situation and said, "Just don't be late for the ball we don't want people to be discouraged". Her eyes were still glowing but to a lesser

degree. She whistled for Blaire and he came dashing off the top of her castle and landing in front of her within seconds. "I'll see you at the ball Falos". He said nothing and nodded. She flew away toward her gardens and through the trees. Falos began to feel a tug on his pants leg, it was the child from before.

"Thank you for saving me, Mister". He looked at the child and said

"You're quite welcome young man but do you know how the fire started"?

He shook his head and asked, "Why is your outfit moving like that"? Falos looked at his clothing which was always swirling like a whirlpool or storm.

"Do you know who I am boy"? Again the boy shook his head. " My name is Falos and I can control anything that uses or is water, I am a god". Micah roared at Falos for not mentioning him, " Oh, and that's Micah my dragon" he gestured for Micah to come forward and the crowd split so he could. " Would you like to pet him"? The boys face lit up as he brought his hand to Micah's blue and silver scales.
