Chapter 25

Falos held Xola's hand as they flew above the clouds, she hadn't said a word since they had left Viro's home or base. Whatever it was, she seemed to be troubled by something,

"Xola is everything okay?" her blonde hair flowed in the wind and she kept her gaze straight ahead, "If you need to talk we can, but dont stay silent it won't help you very much." Falos stated. Then he heard her sigh and they slowed down to a halt, casually floating above everything and everyone below. She finally turned and Falos saw their were tears in her eyes and she was smiling, "We got her back" she sobbed happily, "We actually got he back!" Falos smiled at her, "We couldnt have done it without you, I am sure Lilith will be veryhappy to ee you when we get back" he said as he pulled her into a hug and she cried even harder, "I didnt think-" Falos brushed her hair with his hand, "Dont worry about it, we are here now, Lilith is safe and youkept us all going. With some missteps but not everyone is perfect." Xola looked up and smiled brightly at him, "Theres that smile that everyone loves. Hey, do you mind if i ask you something." he asked. She nodded, "How fast can you fly?" she grabbed his hand and they boomed through the sky.

Malcolm landed and Danae immediately hopped off and found a bush as she began to throw up and when she finished she looked at Lilith, "I like dragons and all but he," she said gesturing to Malcolm, "Might be the fastest and crazy I have ever met!" she laughed as her stomach began to rumble, "Go on and take her inside I will be in to help in a second." Said Danae, "I'll be right back I need to check on something." she said as she looked at Lilith. Lilith nodded as Atlas ran away and she looked back at Danae, "Malcolm is still a little new to this," She said scratching his silver scales, eliciting a small growl from him. She picked up Izca who had a nasty mark on the right side of her face that was bleeding, "Thank you" Lilith said silently as she carried her into her castle. SHe too her to one of the empty rooms that she had used for the contestants and sat a warm towel over her forehead and slipped a green elixir into her mouth, "How long do you think it wil be until she wakes up" Lilith turned quickly and tossed the bottle at the voice. Danae caught it and sat it o the night stand next to the bed, "Im sorry, I should've le you know I was here considering everything." Lilith shook her head, "Dont worry about it, its fine" she wiped sweat from her face, "And how is it that you were able to catch this?" She asked picking up the bottle and studying Danae closely. Danae grinned as her eyes glowed sky blue, "How the hell did you manage that?" Danae looke at her confused, "Wait so you mean you didn't know Falos could share his powers?" Lilith was stood wide eyed, "So he passed on some of his power to you?!" she nodded, "The scar he got from when he was fighting Viro with that knife, it was sapping his magic. I dont think he woud have done it if he knew there was something else that could be done." Danae stated, "He said he'd end up dying if he kept his magic." Lilith sighed, "Yeah, we couldn't be sure before about it but now I guess we know that if we do ever lose our magic, we lose our life. I guess we arent immortal after all," she laughed, "Just harder to kill" Danae put her hand on her shoulder as they both looked at Izca's sleeping form, "She'll wake up eventually" Danae said wrapping her arms around Lilith in a hug, "And everything will be okay now." They saw through the open window that Falos had landed and rolled, followed quickly by Xola who landed and did a flip, "Showoff" Lilith shouted as she and Danae hopped out the window nd a vie came up and lowered them down, "Lilith!" she ran and tackled the woman in a bear hug. Lilith kissed her forehead and looked into her eyes, "You are wonderful, I couldn't ask for anything more!" sh said as she hugged the girl back and started crying as they heard footsteps coming toward them. Falos immediately disappeared and went around the house. After about a minute he returned smiling, "Xola I think there are some people her who want to see you." he said, "Oh come on now, We aren't that special" The voice immediately caused Lilith to look up and sh stood, "Dad, Xira, Sylen why are you here i sent a letter telling you not to come yet?" Her Dad stepped forward, "This girl,Atlas right?" Alas nodded , "She sent out another letter telling us how confused you were, we just got here today and wanted to see you." he looked like he hadnt slept mich but was still smiling when he looked at Lilith and Danae walked over to them, "Is one of you Lilith?" he asked s he looked between both of them as Liith stood, "That would be me, and are you Xola's father?" Her father looked back at her, "I can see why ou like these guys so much." he laughed then he hugged Lilith, "Thank you for looking out for her when I couldn't" Lilith hugged him back, "It was nothing really you raised an amazing young woman." he lookedback at her again after letting go of Lilith, "Yeah I guess I did". Sylen and Xira walked up next to them all, "Well she isnt the only kid in this family!" Xira stated, "Im Xira and this is Sylen, our younger brother." Xola looked at her brothers before knocking them over with wind, "Still too easy" she laughed as they began chasing her around the gardens and Malcolm joined in as well, "Do yo have somewhere I can rest for a while" Lilith trend away from he frolicking children, "Of course, but first whats your name?" he looked at her and grinned "Jayu" he said. "Well Jayu follow me, I can put you up somewhere and finally change clothes."She said lookin down at her dirty out fit that had blood on it from when she picked up Izca. "Lets go Jayu. Falos, Danae, Atlas I want to talk to all of you after Ive had a shower" she said as she turned and left with Xolas father.
