Rejuvenation

Chapter 16

Falos was at home on this brisk, cool night standing on the shore of his island home. He had been there ever since he felt the quaking that Lilith had caused and he had rushed to see if anything had happened or if she had hurt anyone but, turns out she was more happy than anything.

--Flashback--

"Lilith what did you just do and why did you do it?" Falos asked his friend who smiled brightly.

"Just showing off a little for our new companion that's all.

She seems to be having fun with figuring out her powers thus far, have you seen what she can do?"

Falos rubbed the back of his neck and smiled sheepishly, "I was the first one to experience her immense power, she didn't tell you that she sent me clean across my backyard and into the ocean?"

Lilit was wide eyed at what she had just heard, "As in she sent you almost 100 meters across?! Well now we have a decent idea of what she can do now, you do I mean" she said laughing as Falos turned and made his way back home.

--End Flashback--

Falos opened his eyes to hear his name being called but he looked around and couldn't find where it was coming from. He finally looked into the air and saw what he never thought he would, Xola was the one calling him and she was FLYING! Albeit not very well considering she was for one carrying Atlas and two having a very hard time considering her face was turning red. Falos decided to help her out and made a water slide, like an actual water slide, which she promptly dropped Atlas on before following closely behind her friend. When they reached the bottom they were soaked yet again with water, "Little help please Falos"? He made a swift movement with his right hand and all the water on the girls pulled away from them and went to Falos who quickly pushed it back into the ocean, "Did I really just see you flying Xola or is Malcolm able to go invisible somehow"?

Xola looked confused and hopeful at the same time, "No it was definitely me flying, I figured out how to do it when she", gesturing at Atlas who grinned like a madman, "Threw us over a waterfall."

Falos nodded and began, "Well congrats you have not only figured out another on your powers but, you have the ability to fly which makes you the only person that I know who can" He smiled and hugged the young girl.

"Hey Falos you said you can't get wet right" He let go of her and raised an eyebrow before both girls looked at each other and smiled beforeXola sent him careening into the ocean. He sat under water for a while before bursting to the surface to see them both flying back to the mainland laughing loudly as they did, "It looks like I may have to deal with another lifetime of pranks" he said as he made his way to shore and back into his home.

Xola had made her way home the night before and was just waking up and saw a note on her nightstand which she picked up and opened and it read," When you wake up find me in my

garden I may have found a way to help you figure out more of your powers, L" What shocked Xola was that the L was glowing a brilliant emerald green almost pulsing with energy, "That lady has seriously got to start showing me how to do some of this stuff" She got out of bed

and quickly threw on some clothes made her way to the kitchen where she found a bagel and bit into it before heading to the gadens where Lilith was sitting in a clearing petting her dragon, "Hey L whats up", Xola said laughing until she fell over as a chunk of earth shifted and Lilith giggled.

"Seeing as you're here i'm assuming you read my note so come over here" Xola hopped up and made her way over to the emerald eyed goddess, "This is how I can help you" She help up a vial with a glowing blue liquid inside, "I just need some of your hair"

Xola looked at here awkwardly, "And what do you need it for"?

Lilith rolled her eyes as if the answer was obvious to the entire world, "It's a potion I designed that should help you with gaining more control over your abilities but in order for it to actually help I need to tailor it to you specifically or else it will have no real effect, aside from tasting like complete garbage I suppose" She said as she plucked some of the girls curly hair from her head and got up and began walking back toward the castle, "Come on I want to show you my workshop" Xola immediately jumped after her excitedly.

They made there way thru Lilith enormous castle when Xola finally thought to ask a question that had been lingering in her mind for a while now, "Hey how do you navigate this place so well it seems like an endless maze to me"

Lilith stopped so quickly that Xola ran into her and fell over luckily the goddess was laughing, "Well for one I built it two i used a magical ink that only I can see because sometimes even I get confused" xola nodded as she used the winds to pick herself up and did the same for Lilith, "Thats a neat trick"

Lilith said as she turned to her right and opened a door that lead to a room that was enormous to say the least. There were vats of bubbling potions all of which were in an assortment of different colors, some even had swirls in them, "How the hell does this fit inside the castle?!" Xola asked still looking around the room,

"Magic of course and some expert interior decorating by yours truly" She said as she curtsied and made her way over to a vat of the same liquid that was in the vial from earlier and she

dropped the hair into the vat and watched as it began to shift becoming almost alive with energy.

"Whats happening"? Lilith looked over to the girl and patted her head.

"That's how much power resided in just that one strand of your hair now imagine how much is inside your entire body" Xola was shocked at the power that was emanating from the cauldron and as it settled Lilith used a copper ladle to scoop some out and place it into the vial along with the original blue mixture, "This should do it, just make sure you shake it first" Xola nodded and shook the vial well the opened it and took a sip and it surprisingly didn't taste like much at all so she downed the whole thing and looked at Lilith, "So now what"?

Lilith smiled and walked over to a wall where a lever was placed and pulled it which caused a hatch to open above the workshop and out into the sky, "Take us back to the clearing from yesterday and we can see what you can do there" she said as she walked over to her and grabbed her hand and they began to levitate up and thru the hatch ,which closed behind them, and out toward the field where Xola sat Lilith calmly onto the ground, "Okay you see that tree way over there" Xola nodded, " Im going to launch it at you and if the serum worked you should have no problem doing it with even just one finger"

Lilith smiled quickly before disappearing into the ground only to reappear next to the tree as xola silently waited for her to throw the tree, "Ready 3,2,1" And just like that there was a tree about 100 feet in the air headed straight for Xola. She began to levitate and decided to try using just one finger to destroy the tree, she made an X in the air quickly which shot at the tree causing it to splinter into a million pieces and fall to the ground which lilith quickly cleaned up as Xola mad her way back to the ground , "Well my work here is done just be careful with that finger of yours or you could hurt yourself" Lilith said smiling happily at the girl who used the wind too pull Lilith into a hug,

"Thank you" she said as she sped back and lifted into the air to go and find Atlas to show her what she could now do.
