Rejuvenation

Chapter 10

Falos was still sitting in the clearing with Danae and they were just there silently gazing at sky. After a while Falos rose and looked at Danae, " I should probably get going".

She looked at him with surprise in her eyes, "Oh well thats ok". He noticed she looked at the ground absently and he said, "Its nothing with you trust me, I just have something I need to take care of at home".

She did not seem to appreciate that answer and was still unconvinced, "You do not seem to believe me".

She looked him in the eyes and smiled, " I believe you I was just having fun and enjoying the night with you". Falos was at a complete loss for words and she had to have noticed as she began laughing hysterically.

After her laughing fit Falos offered an idea, "Why don't you come with me to see my problem then"? He stood and whistled sharply into the night air and Micah appeared almost immediately. "Your dragon is so beautiful what is his name"?

Falos looked at Micah and saw him reveling in the womans praise, " His name is Micah and he is a handful, anyway ho on and I will take you to my house".

She hopped on and said, "Im sitting in front then". It didn't seem as if Falos had a choice and Micah was not much help at all so he, reluctantly ,sat behind the woman. Micah took to the sky and set off for home.

The Night air was amazing especially since Falos was sitting behind a woman who smelled amazing. She turned just enough so he could see the left side of her face and he could tell she was enjoying herself a great deal.Eventually the castle appeared and Micah began to descend towards it and land. "Thank you for the ride Micah you are breathtaking". Danae pet the dragon head and hopped off and started toward the castle with Falos. "So you wanna tell me about hat was so important"?

Falos looked at her and said, "Its better if I show you". They reached the door, opened it and went inside.

Falos led the way, obviously, through the enormous palace, "How long have you lived here exactly and why do you still insist on not putting on shoes"?

Falos turned and spoke, "I don't remember how long I have been here for but, it has been quite a while also I just like messing with you about the shoes Danae". He turned and began walking before the woman got too angry with his answer. She caught up with him just as he stopped and opened a door on their left and walked inside. The room was dark except for the moonlight coming in from the window and there was a bed on the far right with a small figure sleeping there. Falos walked over to the bed and knelt next to it laying a hand on the blankets. Danae walked up slowly and laid a hand on Falos' shoulder, "So you have a child"?

Falos glared at her awkwardly, "He is not mine I found him in a burned down house with no one looking after him. So I took him in and have been looking after him ever since then". Falos adjusted the blankets on the boy and stood then started for the door with Danae following behind. He closed the door after she walked out and he heard someone speak behind him, "So you're the one Falos has been infatuated with"?

He quickly turned and was met with his best friend standing with a devilish grin on her face,"So are you going to introduce us or just stand there".

Falos just looked at her and grinned," Do I even want to know how you keep getting into my house Lilith"?

She waved hs question aside and approached the woman, "Since he isnt going to tell me your name or introduce me, Hi I am..." she was cut short by the woman, "Trust me I know who you are Lilith". Danae said the sentence as if Lilith had done something wrong.

"Are you alright uh i'm sorry I didn't get your name".

Danae just glared at Lilith before she spoke again, "You won't find it out either", Lilith was beginning to get angry and Falos saw this and tried to stop her, "Lilith I think it is best if you go" Liliths' face began turning red as she got angrier, "So you're getting rid of me for whatever her name is".

Falos was confused but said, "I'm not choosing anyo..." He was stopped by Lilith turning abruptly and turning around a corner before disappearing completely. Falos looked at Danae quizzically, "What was that about"?

"I just don't like her or the way she just comes in here and messes with you". Falos couldn't help but smile and grab her hands,"I'm glad that you care that much but that is just the way Lilith is Danae and its how she will be for the rest of her immortal life".

Danae looked Falos directly in his eyes and asked, "Do you like her, like seriously".

Falos got confused and then understood, "Oh heavens no Lilith and I are just friends and that's all we have ever been. Even if I did like her she shows little, to no interest in men if you understand that". Danae nodded to show she understood and smiled, "Well that's good because I would feel bad if I did this and you didn't like me". Then she began to lean closer and kiss Falos, who was caught off guard at first but returned the kiss after regaining his composure. "So, do you have anything interesting to do in this palace"? She walked off and Falos just walked after her until he caught her hand and led her toward the kitchen, "Are you hungry because I am feeling special tonight"? He said with a wink.
