Xola couldn't believe she had finally figured out one of her abilities, albeit a really destructive one, but an ability nonetheless. Honestly she would keep practicing because so far she had gotten it to be more manageable by sort of willing it towards a gust instead of a blast of wind but that took concentration for her so she was tired. She climbed onto Malcolms back and they vanished quickly back to Lilith's castle so they could both rest.
When they reached the castle Xola slid off Malcolms back and told him to go find himself some food, and just like that he was gone. She turned and began walking into the castle and
toward her room for a quick shower and then to sleep. She reached her room and went straight to the bathroom and turned on the faucet and let the water run to get hot and slithered out of her clothes and into the shower enjoying the relaxing warmth of the water on her skin and the fact that it was washing away the dirt and sweat from her practices. After about fifteen minutes Xola emerged from the shower and wrapped herself in a towel and walked out into her room where she surprisingly saw Lilith sitting on her bed, "What are you doing in here!" Xola squeaked.
Lilith just laughed and answered calmly, "I just came by to see how everything went with Falos that's all so calm down Xola" she said still half laughing at the girls outburst.
Xola nodded and headed toward her dresser to get some clothes to put on and she decided on a pink shirt and a pair of leggings which she took into the bathroom to change. "Everything went fine, I did figure out how to send blast of wind out of my hand and have managed to control it some but not much else" she said thru the door.
Xola walked out of the bathroom fully clothed and attempting to dry her still wet hair, "Well when you finish that meet me in the field behind the castle I want to show you what power you will eventually develop". Lilith said as she slipped out of Xolas room who quickly began to dry her hair when she heard rustling outside of her window. She edged toward the window slowly and the rustling stopped and she was caught off guard by none other than Atlas playing yet another prank on her which she found hilarious. "I swear Xola for being a god you sure do scare easily" Atlas said chuckling.
"Well one day you might just get blasted away if you keep it up Atlas" Xola said smiling and walking up and hugging Atlas. Ever since Xola became a god Atlas had been nicer to her but she made it clear that her godhood wasn't the reason for it at all, maybe it was because they weren't competing against one another anymore. Anyway, she practically stopped by every two days or so to check in or just to hang out, "So what're you here for now?" Xola said.
Atlas quickly replied, "I came to see you jackass but clearly i'm not wanted here so i'll leave" she said in a snarky tone.
Xola hit her in the arm lightly, "Shut up, if you want you can come see what Lilith was about to show me out back i'm sure she'll be happy to see your back again". She nodded and they both trodded out to where Lilith was patiently waiting.
Lilith looked at the pair of girls and sighed, "And to think just over a month ago you two couldnt even hold a conversation together now look at you, practically best friends" the girls looked at one another and back to Lilith. "Anyway Xola are you ready to see the power I have acquired since becoming a goddess?"
Xola nodded as Lilith motioned for them to step back. Lilith focused all of her power into her surroundings and into the ground which began to shake and tremble violently throwing Atlas off balance. When Lilith finished she turned back to the girls and smiled brightly. "How big of an earthquake did you just cause Lilith?" Xola asked.
Lilith put her index finger to her chin obviously knowing the answer, "Well i'm sure Falos was able to feel that tremor even on his island so that should give you a good enough scope."
Both girls eyes went wide with amazement, "Now that you know how powerful you could become maybe you can visualize how that can help" Lilith smiled and began walking back into her castle leaving both girls still amazed.
"Why does she get to be so cool?"Atlas said with jealousy in her voice.
"Well she is a god so there's that" Xola remarked.
"Yea and so are you and you're still as lame as ever" Xola looked at her and smiled mischievously and held up her hand toward the left and fired a blast of wind clearing a clean path through the trees to the end of the clearing. Xola looked back at Atlas who was holding up her hands in defeat, "Fine your not THAT lame follow me though I wanna show you something too" and just like that they set off through the town that was still bustling with life and through the forest where cicadas and crickets could be heard until the came to a cliff that stood over a 60 foot waterfall where Atlas stopped,"I found this place after I left the castle last time and wanted to show you next time i saw you" She gleamed.
Xola was just amazed at how the water sparkled like diamond and reflected the moonlight perfectly, "Its beautiful" she said as Atlas sat at the edge of the cliff to which Xola was hesitant about but did anyway, "I could just listen to the waterfall and stargaze forever" Atlas said "We should jump in"
Xola shook her head, "I dont think thats a good idea Atlas"
Atlas frowned, " Oh come on Xola" She said as she dragged her off the edge and plummeted toward the water which neither of them actually made contact with.
Xola held her eyes shut tightly and was still holding onto Atlas when atlas poked her, "Um I don't know how your doing this but this definitely counts as cool so open your eyes."
Xola slowly opened her eyes to see that she and atlas were both floating about five feet above the waters surface, "What'd you do Atlas?"
Atlas raised an eyebrow, "What did I do? Your the one who has the crazy wind powers maybe this is one of them, you can fly stupid" Atlas said loudly and hugged Xola.
Xola was happy she found out another of her powers but there was one thing she didnt like about this, "Hey Atlas how are we supposed to get.." She was cut short by atlas pushing them apart and throwing off Xolas concentration so that they both fell into the cool water,
"Aww i just showered" Xola whined.
Atlas surfaced and smiled, "Well looks like i need new clothes can i borrow some?" She said sheepishly as Xola just splashed her with water and swam toward land and began walking toward the castle to change yet again into clean clothes with Atlas close behind grinning like a madman.
