Isis was thrilled to finally be pulling into her driveway. She backed the Uhaul so the car hauler was next to the curb. She got out, unhooked the car hauler from the Uhaul, and then backed the moving van into the driveway. It was early evening and all she wanted to do was start unpacking a few boxes, find something to eat, and head to bed. It had been a long day of driving.
As the trio of females were unloading boxes an hour later, there came a knock at the door. Not knowing anyone in the neighborhood or town, she immediately took her gun out of its holster as she turned around. It was pointing at the young man standing in her doorway. He immediately held up his hands in defense as his eyes widened.
"Woah, woah, woah!" He exclaimed.
"Who the fuck are you and why are you in my house?" She stood firm as she stared him down.
"I came from your neighbors. The ones to the right of you. Clay and Gemma Morrow. They're throwing a bbq." He explained, "She saw you drive in and thought you could use a break from unloading boxes. Dinner is almost ready."
She eyed him suspiciously for a moment, especially seeing the leather vest he wore, before she called out.
"Leia, Ashanti! Want to go meet some neighbors and get a bite to eat real quick?" She yelled.
"Food!" Leia exclaimed as she came out of her room.
Their furniture had already been delivered and set up. All that was left were the boxes that she'd brought with her in the moving van.
"Gemma is looking forward to meeting you." He eyed her gun as she cautiously she put it back in her holster.
She nodded to her two girls before following the mohawked man next door. Loud music was playing and it was then she noticed all the motorcycles parked around the driveway and curb. Juice walked in and pointed towards the kitchen before walking out into the backyard where Clay and Jax were grilling and talking to Bobby.
"What's the neighbor like?" Clay immediately asked.
"She pulled a gun on me when I knocked on the door. Seemed at ease with it. Never took her eyes off me." Juice told him making Jax and Bobby laugh.
"Hello! You must be the new neighbors! I'm Gemma. My husband Clay is outside with my son Jax finishing up with dinner." A beautiful woman with dark brown hair and blond high lights stated when she noticed Isis standing there.
"Hi. Thanks for inviting us over. I'm Isis. This is my oldest Leia and my youngest Ashanti." Isis introduced them.
"Isis?" A blond asked with a sneer.
"Yes, Isis. You know, the Egyptian Goddess of healing and magic." Isis quickly shot back making Gemma smirk.
"Lyla, be nice. Isis and her daughters recently moved to town." Gemma stated, "Why don't you ladies mingle with the boys until dinner's done."
Isis just raised an eyebrow before turning and leaving the kitchen. She ran into a tall, dark curly-headed man who was ogling Leia. She reached for her gun makimg Ashanti rest her hand on her mother's arm.
"Mom..." The teen exclaimed.
"If you'd like to keep your manhood, I'd quit ogling my daughter." Isis warned him making the man look straight over to her.
The tone, and words, got Happy's attention and he had to watch what was happening. He took her in. She stood tall, close to six feet at least, curvy in all the right places, long jet black hair that was put up in a high-pony tail. She was self-assured and definitely didn't know who she was talking to.
"Uh..." The man stuttered.
"Tig! Leave our guests alone!" Gemma shooed him away from the trio of women, "I'm sorry about him. He tends to think with his dick instead of his head most of the time."
"He doesn't leave my daughters alone, he won't have a dick to think with." Isis shot back making Gemma laugh.
"Meat's done!" Clay shouted earning quite a few hollers from the hungry bikers.
"Come to the table and have a seat. I'll introduce everyone then." Gemma told the small family.
Isis sat down and her girls sat on either side of her. Clay had already sat down at the head of the table and there were several women bringing food in. Guys with the same leather vest as the kid who'd come over to invite them over all found seats around the elongated dinner table.
"Ladies, this is Clay my husband. The blond on his left is my son Jackson or Jax. The one who'd been ogling your daughter is Tig. This is Bobby, Opie, Chibs, Quinn, and Happy. You've already met Juice." Gemma pointed everyone out to them.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Isis and this is my oldest Leia and my youngest Ashanti." Isis looked around and caught the one she'd been introduced to as Happy's eye.
"Nice to meet you ladies too." Jax flashed her that Teller grin, "Where did you move from?"
"Dallas." Isis replied.
"What do ya do fer a livin'?" Chibs questioned.
"I'm a tattoo artist. I've got a shop in town opening up soon." She stated.
"Is that the new place opening up in the square?" Juice inquired.
"'Etched in Ink' is my place, yes." She smiled.
Dinner had gone better than Isis honestly expected. The group asked questions and told them a little about themselves. She discovered they were the majority of the local biker club. Clay told Isis if she ever had any problems, particularly with skinheads, to not hesitate to call on them making her laugh. "I'd rather just shoot them." she stated making several of the bikers laugh.
After dinner, Isis thanked her host for the wonderful meal and the chance to meet them. Gemma smiled back and suggested they get together sometime so they could properly get to know one another. Isis ushered her daughters out the door and across the yard to their own home. She was too tired to do any more unpacking so she closed and locked the moving van and told her girls to get ready for bed. Having a full belly coupled with the long drive and then all the moving they had done when they got there, neither girl was willing to argue about going to bed.
Eventually the bikers all headed back to the clubhouse or went on to their own homes if they had one. Crow eaters were crawling all over the place waiting for the men in leather to return. As Happy was walking into the clubhouse, one persistent blond kept bugging him so he finally pushed her away from him before asking the prospect for a bottle of Jack and stomping off to his room.
"What's got his panties in a twist?" Tig laughed as the prospect brought him and Chibs a beer.
"Who knows." Chibs replied as he eyed up one redhead, "But it's not like 'im t' just turn down pussy like tha'. Strange behavior fer 'im."
"How did you like Gemma and Clay's new neighbor?" Juice asked as he sat down with the pair.
"Seemed nice enough." Chibs retorted.
"Really?" Juice's eyes widened.
"Wha's tha' look fer?" Chibs questioned.
"She pulled a gun on me when I went to invite them over to Gemma and Clay's. Her hand was steady and she never broke eye contact. She knows what she's doing." Juice stated making Tig laugh.
"I like this woman." Tig stated once he quit laughing.
