Tara just sneered once more which started to irritate Isis. Gemma could tell the pair weren't going to get along and it amused her greatly. Her neighbor was too much like her and she didn't along, honestly, with her son's 'ol lady. She only put up with her so she could see her grandchildren. Tara watched as Isis looked around before turning her attention back to them.
"So what do you do while you're on lockdown?" Isis questioned, more to Gemma than Tara.
"Sit around and chat." Gemma laughed, "I suppose you could sit in your apartment and read if you're that sort. We've got TV's in each room as well. I don't know if you have cable at your house or not but we do here."
"Sounds exciting." Isis chuckled.
"The guys usually sit around drinking, playing darts, or pool. Some tinker with their bikes. Some will get out in the boxing ring and beat each other senseless." Gemma expressed, "That's the ones who aren't taking care of club business."
"Why the hell would they do that?" Isis tilted her head.
"Men and their testosterone is all I can say." Gemma shrugged.
A toddler began crying so Tara got up to go check on her son.
"Don't worry about Tara. She's an uptight bitch most of the time." Gemma explained, "Don't let her get to you and don't let her push you around."
"One of those that thinks she's better than you because of her status?" Isis questioned.
"Yeah. She hates the club because the danger it puts her and the boys in. She doesn't trust us, I think." Gemma stated.
"What kind of world does she think she lives in? There's danger everywhere you go! (Gemma laughed)" Isis stated, "I mean, I'm not naïve and think this motorcycle club is just a bunch of bike enthusiasts. I'm sure there's some illegal activities going on. She signed up for that shit when she got involved with him."
"You sound like you've been around MC's before." Gemma commented.
"No. My ex husband and his family are a Russian mob family. I understand the danger and how things go. Business is business and the wives aren't supposed to know anything in case cops and Feds come sniffing around." Isis stated.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. I've lied to the Feds before to keep my ex from going to jail. Not that I really knew anything anyhow. Probably shouldn't have but I was a good wife. I did what was necessary to keep my family safe and together." She shrugged.
"You sound like you'd make a great 'ol lady around here." Gemma stated as she noticed Happy looking over at them.
Isis shrugged, "Whatever. I'm not exactly looking to get into another relationship."
"What if the right guy came along?" Gemma smirked.
"We'll see how things develop." Isis chuckled, "Besides, he'd have to be pretty amazing to make me want to get into another relationship any time soon. Especially after what I left in Texas."
Tara finally returned and sat down. The chapel doors opened up and the bikers filed out. Tara watched as Isis stared at Happy for a moment or two before turning her attention back to them. The doctor had to smirk knowing this woman had no chance with the killer. He never wanted a woman, much less a family, and knew Isis was just going to get her heart broken. She liked that idea far too much. The idea of Happy settling down, especially with a woman with kids, was so ridiculous it was almost comical to the doctor.
Clay walked over and kissed his wife's cheek. He explained that they were heading out on some club business and would be back much later. She promised to have dinner ready by the time they returned. Jax walked over to say his goodbye to Tara. She was a bit frosty as he promised they'd be safe while the club was gone. Isis looked away to try and give the two couples some space. Her eyes landed on Happy who was leaning against the bar.
